I finally got to try Swine, and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I chose the 2 meat sampler with brisket and candied pork belly, with a side of Mac and cheese and it was better than most local BBQ spots in the area. The brisket was cut fresh, and you can choose lean or fatty, which is a nice option. The pickles tasted homemade and complimented the meat perfectly. Give it a shot. read more

We got take out lunch last week at work. I didn't pick up so no review of the site or service, but I'll be sure to visit because the food was really tasty I hit the candied pork belly sammich and a side of smoked cabbage. The pork belly was simply super delicious. The sammich had more large cubes of pork than I would have guessed, but was pleasantly surprised. The smoked cabbage was also ver good but the side portion was quite small. A coworker shared some hot rice and despite its name it was also good. but just a bit of spice/heat. Wow! What a great serendipity! A day ago I had mentioned to my Mrs Claus that I was hankering for some BBQ and Swine was awesome! Tasty, with delightful sauces and great sides, we feasted on brisket done right and pulled pork that was delicious! Our sides: Mexican street corn, cabbage, sweet potatoes, all ample portions of well-made goodness! Even the black cherry carbonated drink and peach iced tea did the trick! The decor is simple, old style BBQ house! The service iis quick whether you eat in or take out! Give these guys your support! You will not be disappointed! Next time: ribs and smoked turkey, mmm! Swine BBQ is the best place for BBQ in Medina. Fresh food, friendly service, and a modern, relaxing dining room. If you are visiting from out of town, Swine BBQ is located in the Medina Square where you can also shop unique, local stores, grab some doughnuts, ice cream, and coffee, and have a relaxing day. I enjoy the brisket and pulled pork, although one of these days I'm going to try the jalapeno cheddar sausage link. You can also choose from turkey, ribs and various sliders. My favorite menu item is the Texas brisket chili. It is fantastic. Swine is definitely not a fast food joint, but it's not a typical sit down restaurant either. You head to the back counter and place your order, get your tray, and seat yourself. What I'm getting at is that the food is fresh, but you don't have the typical restaurant wait time. It is a very nice small place on the Medina Square. We had lunch and every meat (Brisket and Pulled Pork) and side (Street Corn and Mac and Cheese) was excellent. They offer a selection of hot made sauces that all seem made in house and each was very good. We even blended a few to make our own, and they were great. They offer a selection of Beers and Bourbons to go with your meal. Casual atmosphere and top quality BBQ at a good price - really, what more would you want. read more

We visited Swine BBQ for the first time this week and the food overall was very good. The ribs are great with lots of meat and their KC sauce is the best. I had the "pinto beans with meat" and I couldn't tell exactly what was in them but they had a really great sweetness to them. The Mac and cheese was on the dry side. The restaurant is a little confusing. There isn't really any directional signage and the guy cutting the meat wasn't the friendliest... the rest of the people were great though. A little pricey but we'll be back I would definitely like to see some more variety in the sides. Cornbread was listed as a side to but and I think that any BBQ joint should have cornbread included with every plate. read more

Been there about a dozen times ...very consistent and legit product ....not a fan of smoked Turkey and wish they made more brisket because if anything goes first (sometimes they are out of things before 5 because it's awesome but they do advertise this) it's always the brisket, and the Turkey is always available : / Would be nice to have other vegetable sides like greens, though smoked cabbage is wonderful Beans are best I've ever had at a restaurant and homemade sauces great Soooooo happy this is in Medina How do people rationalize going to McDonalds when they can go here?!? ...probably for less One advice: need cozier spot outside back for dining without dumpster 5 feet away ....I'm sure this will get nicer as they move forward read more

Meat was very good, what they had left. Sides were horrible. Never tasted a coleslaw like that before (hopefully never again).

Arriving here I was pleased with the menu layout which allows for sampling. Service is at the counter. I tried pulled pork, turkey and brisket on this visit. Pork was moist and was good quality. Turkey was a little dry and needed sauce to liven it up. I requested a lean cut of brisket, but was given the fatty (moist)end anyway. Good flavor but not my favorite cut of brisket. Sides were all solid, they have bbq fried rice which is a unique and worth trying. Mac n cheese and creamed corn were both top quality. Pricing was on par with what I've seen at other bbq spots in this area. The restaurant was clean and had a commercial feel to it. read more

All around just ok. The baked beans were super dry and the sweet potatoes tasted old so I'm guessing neither were fresh. The brisket was dry as well. The candied pork belly was yummy and the ribs were awesome! Had I only ordered the ribs my review would have totally changed but I didn't so overall just meh. The sauces are all just ok too, nothing to write home about. Also be aware that the seasoning used on all the meats is definitely on the sweeter side. Pretty sure cinnamon is the main ingredient for all of them. So if you're looking for a more savory bbq this is not your jam. Also if you don't like nutmeg do not get the sweet potatoes. read more

This is a somewhat new establishment to the Medina square and I'm happy its here. I think it adds a good variety to the area. The dinner itself is clean and modern. Could tell they put a lot of time and effort into the place. The staff was kind and helpful. I had the smoked brisket and it was definitely better than Dickeys. The bark was particularly delicious. Went good with their sweet bbq sauce. The wife had the pulled pork, which I tired. So good that I wanted grab some for the ride home. When I come back this will definitely what I get. We both had Mac -n-cheese for a side. It's good but nothing to special. It's your regular baked type Mac-n-cheese. They give you break, pickles and onions for free sides. My only critique for the place is that they should give you butter for the bread. read more

We like to support local businesses. We've been to this restaurant several times - each time the owner acts as if he's doing you a favor by serving you in his restaurant. Tonight my food was cold. I mentioned it and I was treated as if I was lying. As we were ready to leave The owner sent an employee to tell us that our dinner had been credited. Little pricey - don't expect Dickey's BBQ prices. Decor was ok. When we walked in we weren't sure if it is sit down or like fast food. No one greeted us, no hellos, and there weren't any signs. Another customer had to instruct us to approach the glass and counter. My Beef Brisket was 50/50 - some tough chewy parts, a few ok pieces. I would have preferred a tender sliced brisket instead of chopped cubes. Enjoyed the bbq sauce table - i liked the root beer based one the most. Rib bones are sold each at $2.35 or 5 or 10. My BIGGEST complaint were the unforgiving heavy sides and LACK of variety on the menu board!! Offered: Hot corn pudding, pinto beans w/ unidentified meat, sweet potato, mac n cheese, something called steamed cabbage I think. But, here's what I NEEDED in my Life: Street corn, corn on the cob, buttered sweet corn, creamed corn, fried okra, collard greens, a side salad, 5-bean salad, traditional cucumber salad, onion rings, onion petals, seasoned green beans, glazed carrots, potato salad, candied yams, corn bread!!!!, a corn muffin, seasoned wedge fries, garlic mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, home fries, potato casserole, hush puppies, biscuits, buttered peas, broccoli salad, fried green tomatoes, creamed spinach - you get the idea!! We had it yesterday with some friends. I must say the brisket is fantastic. I also had Jalapeno sausages. They were nicely hot with great texture.
