Decided to call Brettco because I was very pleased with roofing jobs they did on a previous house of mine and M-I-L's house. They did a very thorough roof inspection and reported the roof was fine. I asked who they recommended for siding repair and turned out they could do it, as well as painting my soffit and fascia which were a little tired and faded. Their painter revived a front door that I was afraid was too far gone! The siding replacement and painting of all siding, soffit, and fascia was perfectly executed, and they left absolutely no mess behind! I told him I was not satisfied with his work he said " if you expect people to be that thorough when doing something for you, you should give them a heads up." I offered to let him make correct the issues and he wanted to charge even more. A day and a half later he brought the police to my home because I refused to pay for his poor work. When I explained to the officer how poor the work was and that the job was not completed, he left, telling Mr. Carroll he would be arrested for trespassing if he cam back. Update, as of this AM, I have 7 more texts from him. Be careful ! Don't be bullied !

However, once Tyler, the owner, caught wind of it, he was upstanding, professional, and genuinely concerned about my experience. He personally took the time to understand the issues, stayed engaged throughout the process, and made sure things were addressed. From my perspective, it became clear that the information Tyler was receiving did not fully reflect what I had been experiencing as a customer. Once he became directly involved and saw the situation for himself, things changed dramatically. It's easy for an owner to stay removed from customer problems, but Tyler did the opposite. I know sometimes paperwork can be tricky and processing things takes time but the way they talk to you after is unprofessional. I even messaged them on Facebook as well and relaying a message about the response but ended up getting a response saying "how can we help you if you never pick up or not respond" I cannot pick up my phone or respond during my work hours. I'm a healthcare worker and cannot answer as I am assisting patients. They were quick to try to turn it on me not addressing what I originally messaged them about. I never shifted blame on anyone but needed to do what I had to do in order to stop more potential damage to my home. I am usually not the one to post reviews but sometimes things need to get said. They have left an impression. You win some and you lose some, but does not mean you have to be bitter. Hopefully they can control their frustrations on past/potential clients in the future.
