Came in to get my head shaved with clippers nothing big and a lining on my beard. My head was completely cut up as you can see in the video take the money that I gave you and go buy yourself some clippers and maybe some classes man cause that's ridiculous. I've never had somebody messed my head up that bad and with just a shave Anyways felt bad cause it's the holidays but shouldn't even give you $10 let alone 50 for that. My husband and my son (8yrs) have been going to Joe's: A Barber Shop for about 2 years now. Every experience has been amazing for the both of them! Usually, my husband takes my son, but this time, I took my son for the first time. It was before school started, I took my son to get a fade (1&2) with a line up. We scheduled online with Joe, the owner (FYI, the online scheduling is so easy to use and very convenient). The photo below is my son's before and after cut with Joe. He did such a good job with my son's cut! My son felt confident after and said he really liked his hair cut. When my son and I went, I had my 6yr old daughter and 1yr old daughter with me too. As I was getting my 1 year old out of the car, I noticed Joe had held the door open to the shop for us. I appreciated him for that given I had my 3 children with me. He welcomed all of us in and offered seating to my daughters and I on one of the comfy couches. Joe definitely has a soft spot for the kiddos! He started conversations with both my son and daughter and was making my 1 year old laugh. Another barber there offered my daughter a lollipop while we were waiting, which totally made her day! We had such an amazing experience this day! I could not thank Joe and his team enough for providing such excellent service! I highly recommend Joes: A Barber Shop! On a side note... Typically, when my husband goes, he schedules with Carlos. Carlos is also a very good barber! He sometimes does my son's hair too and always does a great job with the fade/line-up. My son is autistic and has a VERY HIGH sensitivity to people touching his hair.. and let me tell you, it is not an easy job cutting his hair. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to Joe. I walked in sat down and was asked if I had an appointment. I said no the guy getting the haircut was the guy asking me and not the barber I was so confused like why is a customer trying to help me. Anyway the barber said we are booked all day appointments only but an apprentice will be here here 1.5 hours later. The customer said are you willing to comeback I said no thanks take care guys. Frank has major skills. Picked this barbershop based on other yelp reviews. When I walked in the door I was greeted with a hello and asked if I was a walk-in or had an appointment. Luckily, I made an appointment online because they were busy. They then offered me a water, soda or a beer! If I did not have to drive 30 miles back home, definitely would have taken them up on the beer. There are four barbers. The owner, two brothers and a barber in training. You can't go wrong with one of the brothers - Frank! However, Frank said that his brother has great skills and the owner is also great. Frank asked me what I wanted, asked a couple of questions and went to work. Along the way, he checked in with me to see if he needed to make any adjustments. There is no doubt, Frank knows what he is doing. This was no rush 15 minute cut. Just a heads up. My appointment was at 3:00 and I completely forgot about school getting out. There were a couple father sons there and on woman with five little kids. Just a bit hectic but can't blame her. This is a family friendly place. Next time I'll go a little earlier. This is a legit barbershop. Make an appointment with either brother, or the owner, and I think you'll be happy. A good find! read more

Joe rocks! He has a great shop where the whole family would feel welcome. Joe is different from other barbers, he went over the haircut with me. This was like a mission briefing and I was confident the haircut would be perfect. I was right. I don't usually review much on Yelp but I've been to various barbers in Minnesota, Nevada, and Arizona. I don't live here and I've never reviewed any barbers so this should say something. Joe is passionate about providing the best experience to the customers. Joe is definitely a great communicator and we had a great conversation throughout the haircut. Joe is also a family man so he's going to be great with kids. The shop is amazing and the ability to book an appointment is great especially with how busy Maricopa gets. Joe is a great ambassador to the city of Maricopa and the city is lucky to have him there! Made an appointment to get my haircut and my beard trimmed, I must say I am truly happy I found them. This place has a comfortable small hometown feel to it. The staff and owner are a great bunch of guys and do excellent work and know the way to do it right. Since moving here I was mid my hometown barber of which there's only one , towns population is under 1000 mostly Montana ranch land, where the Barber knows everyone who comes in the door. The only thing missing here is Checkers set upon the corner. So if you're looking for a great haircut or beard trimmed this is the place! read more

I walked into Joe's Barber Shop and was greeted by Joe and his awesome family, his young daughter took one look at my scruffy hair and beard and decided I was the "old man in the town," fair enough, cuz I was pretty scruffy lookin. Joe was super nice and a great conversationalist while cutting my hair and beard. The price was super reasonable and Joe's shop is very welcoming to anyone stepping in for a trim. I don't normally have negative things to say about businesses and how they choose to do business...that being said, I had to speak up this time. I walked in to get a hair cut and was told I would be next with my preferred barber Frank, next thing he says is, I just tried to book you in and someone online took the slot so I will get you after him. After waiting for a while I realized, I don't want to give my business to someone who values an internet booking over a customer who is physically there. Call me old school, but that's poor customer service. When I got up to leave, one of the barbers followed me out the door and asked if I was good when I was getting into my truck. Something else...the only reason I preferred Frank over the other guys there, is because Joe's has a couple apprentices with no official schooling that cut my hair before, and I was not satisfied with the result. Bottoms line... I think it is poor form to cater to online bookings and I felt disrespected. I will never go back too Joe's after today. read more
