The barber completely ignored or was not skilled enough to know the difference between the two haircuts, giving him a choppy, uneven long side part instead. His hair was horrifically chopped down on the sides and back, and the end result looked nothing like what he wanted. He came home covered in loose hair, and the cut was totally lopsided with weird pieces sticking out. We were completely ripped off!! and will never be returning. It's so sad to see eight months of growth chopped down to nothing. Now I have to try to fix it myself!?! Save your money and go somewhere else. They do not value the consumers experience!

My family began going to Montana Barber 14 years ago when we moved to Montana in 2004. My sons…read morewere ages 6 and 4 at the time, and my youngest son has autism. At the time, we tried to have different barbers cut my youngest son's hair, but his sensitivities and aversion to the stimulation prevented him from any barber giving him a haircut. Haircuts were VERY tramatic for him, and resulted in lots of crying. Shonda at Montana Barber took the time necessary to de-sensitize my son by investing time in him. The first visits, she simply let him sit in the barber chair, and touch the brushes, combs, scissors and clippers. He was allowed to turn on the clippers as she held them, so he could get used to the sound and vibrations. Within a few visits, my son allowed her to use just scissors to trim his hair, and over time, Shonda was able to use clippers, and even trim his eyebrows. It was an amazing experience, and great personal growth for my son. I have always enjoyed visiting Montana Barber. The barbers have all completed barber school and are not hair stylists (there is a big difference). Shonda, Rhonda and Gene all have great relationships with their customers, young and old. The shop is always clean, comfortable and well lit. Haircutting instruments are always sanitized, and the conversations are often therapeutic. Haircuts are very reasonable priced, but they don't accept debit or credit cards (cash or check only.) I wouldn't think of using a different barber shop in the Flathead Valley.
