Yea, I've contact the bank and bank told me to contact the Merch and at the time one the phone with the Merch aka Joe's, young man seem confused but I don't think they understand either how to look at back log transactions to see and corrected the problem. But, instead I was told to come in the morning hours. No time was given or recommend. He told me to hold and then the phone on his end disconnected the call. No, I'm not calling back. Everyone has caller ID now. A courtesy callback from the Merch would have been nice but. The food here is dope. If you got blazed and strolled in here, your bank account would be in serious peril. What's the reason for the two stars? Oh here's what it is. They have a $20 (TWENTY) MINIMUM to use your credit card. Want to know what else they have? AN ATM THAT CHARGES YOU $2 (TWO) on each end to take anything out. So it's a ruthless vortex we're talking about here. The guys who work here are all really nice. This is my closest bodega so I come here for little things which end up being pretty pricey but I chalk it up to the cost of renting space in Williamsburg. i come here every morning. It's convenient if you take the L train and you come up the stairs (by Driggs) because it's right across the street from the station. The service is great-- they're all friendly and very quick with your order. BLTs, egg sandwiches in the morning, and assorted muffins are available. I usually come here just for coffee and breakfast, but there were some occassions where i came here for lunch. They have a big list of panini sandwiches and they make it fresh. (not pre-made.) tip: don't get the coffee anytime after 9am-- it gets pretty weak and sometimes it's not hot... just warm. Go to OSLOS instead. read more

The Godfather sub is one of my favorite sandwiches. It's a basic Italian with top quality meats (prosciutto, etc.) and it's still only $7 and change. Definitely my favorite sub shop in the neighborhood. Love this place. They do close early, around 6PM during the week. read more

Joe's Busy Corner is the quality neighborhood bodega|deli that you really want to live close by. Super well stocked and affordable prices, this place not only offers ease of selection, but also comfort in knowing that whatever you get is going to be good and whatever you're looking for is probably going to be there. The Service: quick and convenient like any other deli or bodega you've been to. It's nice that they allow credit cards even if their is a minimum charge ($10). But it's almost impossible not to spend more than that once you see the selection there. The hero sandwich I ordered was made fast, fresh, and warm - exactly what I wanted to get. The Space: Clean bodega style store on the corner of Driggs and 7th street close to the Bedford L MTA line. It's small but spacious considering how much they've put in one store. Anywhere from Quest protein bars to Kettle chips to Lagunitas six packs and 5 Hour Energy shots and everything in between - this place is packed with everything you'd ever want. If you want to eat healthy then come here, if you want to eat fatty then come here, and if you want to drink beer, well then definitely come here (although $17 for Lagunitas... Really!?) The Sandwich: I got the the Joe's Hero ($9) - Chicken Cutlet w/ Bacon, Melted Cheddar Cheese, House Dressing on Toasted Hero Bread... Delicious!!! The senses were all filled, the bread was soft yet crunchy, the sweet savory house sauce was a nice layer on top of the tender warm chicken cutlet - so so so good! The second sandwich I was so fortunate to try was the Goat Cheese Panini ($8) filled with grilled chicken, goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes and pesto... thinking about the melted goat cheese on pesto makes me salivate, and it should do the same for you too. If you're into complex gourmet sandwiches, this place isn't for you,but if you're into delicious hand crafted (relatively) fresh, fast, easy, and most importantly tasty sandwiches then come here. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either, the dudes behind the counter at Joe's will hand-slice everything to perfection on one of their specialty subs/sandwiches as you browse their impressive cold drinks selection. It's everything a corner bodega should be -- but what most corner bodegas fail to deliver, especially in this part of Brooklyn. Clean, concise, well-organized, well-operated, and with remarkably good house-made food. Service is super-quick. The guy behind the register counts money like a god damn banker. You will never see change from a $20 fly that fast back into your hand, followed by a ridiculously delicious sandwich in a bag that you can take to go, or eat at the (albeit small) counter. There is a $10 credit card minimum, or a $20 minimum if you are also getting tobacco. There's an ATM on site, but of course it charges you up the ass with fees, so remember to bring cash. At the lesser used corner, Driggs exit, of the Bedford Ave. stop in Williamsburg. The bodega aspect of the place is a bit heavier on snack food/on the go treats than over-priced grocery staples and cereals. Yes, its not open as late as the Bedford Ave. places because that corner does quiet down a lot faster at night. But.... If you make it there during the day they do have pretty tasty sandos! They're a couple bucks more than the average run-of-the-mill bodegas but they are much bigger, more filling and have better options for meats, cheeses and sides. For the occasional mix-up of local eats in the Bedford neighborhood I endorse the Joe's. read more

I had the Anthony's Delight panini today - eggplant, mozzarella and roasted peppers. It was almost inedible. I watched the cook microwave the eggplant. The bread and eggplant were very freezer burned and hard to eat. I ended up removing the eggplant altogether. There were black olives and capers added in with the roasted peppers. That's not on the menu, otherwise I would have asked for no olives. The olives were canned and tasted metallic, clearly poor quality. Maybe their other sandwiches are good, but they really should not be charging $7+ for sandwiches with frozen eggplant and frozen bread. OK, I can't really write a review - because I didn't buy anything when I went to visit recently. I lived in the neighborhood in the 90"s -- before it was what it is now (just a bit too trendy). Joe's was full of old Italian men hanging out and chatting. They had the best food and amazing home smoked mozzarella cheese. I went to Joe's this past Sunday - not smoked mozzarella and no old Italian men to be found. I came home to non- trendy queens and went to a real Italian deli -- Iavarone Bros. Deli Sandwiches on the go or for dining in are the sell at Joe's. The groceries are typically overpriced but the meat and bread is fresh and the staff friendly. The result is a thick stack of fixings for a price that's between five and seven bucks for the basics on regular bread, and pushing ten for something fancier. Their specials named for local streets and icons are sufficiently though not very creatively thought out. But the staff knows its regulars, is happy to get to know you, and won't flinch if you try to make jokes. Ordering food in Brooklyn should always come with a joke on par with Anna Maria's classic "For Here or To Stay?" Joe's, though no longer owned and operated exclusively by Joe, stays true to local charm. That being said, avoid the after school special taking place weekdays around three. The're nice kids, but I wanted to eat my Chicken Gyro and read the Onion in peace. Eh... never mind. The kids are pretty fun too. read more
