I hired Joe initially to repair a sliding glass door, he did a fine job. I hired him again to refurbish the interior of a kitchen island. This project required all day, he worked hard on it and it was more difficult than he anticipated, somewhat due to his approach. I paid him substantially more than he asked due to the difficulty and his time spent. When he left for the evening, the project was not complete, but we agreed he would return to complete the job.....But, he never did. I called him several times and attempted to schedule a follow-up to complete the work, but he could not find a date that worked for him. He stated he had other jobs to do. I am very disappointed that Joe did not compete the job or follow up with an attempt to complete it. I finally got tired of calling him to schedule. My 8 months of frustration makes me want to give a one star review, but since Joe didn't do anything, I generously gave him 2 stars. Read this review and you decide if I'm a patient reasonable person and ask yourself if you have the same patience. I contacted Joe in August 2023 about doing some house painting and a small amount of carpenter work. Joe came right out and looked the job over. We scheduled the work for the fall either October or November and I didn't even ask him to quote me a price. In mid-November, after not hearing from him, I called Joe and he said he was too busy and would start in mid-December. Called Joe in mid-December and he said the work would start early January. This went on and on like that week after week with me always calling Joe and Joe never once calling or texting to keep me informed. Finally in March I told Joe he had to do the work because my patience had run out. Joe said for sure the job would be done in late March or at the very latest by second week of April. Called Joe last week of March and Joe said your job will be the second week of April 2024. The second week of April arrived and Joe didn't show up or contact me. On Wednesday I called Joe once again and he said, "I will definitely be there this week". Friday came and again no Joe and no word from Joe, just his usual discourtesy. Angry and frustrated after waiting 8 months, I was done with no show Joe's discourtesy and false promises. I made other arrangements and before the end of the following week the job was finished to a high standard with no problems and the price was very reasonable. I should have called this company in the first place because they did a perfect job and did not cause any frustration like Joe's endless delays, excuses, and no show promises without even the courtesy to once call or text me. Finally, after I had hired another company, I got my first ever text from Joe saying he would start next week after he did something else. After my first blind installer wasn't able to complete the job I was left with an office full of uninstalled blinds and only 2 installed windows.
