He was seen by Sam Jr. whom didn't know what he was there for, and when told, he handed him a paper application to fill out. When asked why he had to fill out another application, he was told " We are done here without allowing him to ask any questions and escorted him out of the building ". I have never heard of an interviewer being that rude to an applicant that asked a very valid and simple question. And if I may remind this company, even if your are the Boss, you represent the values of your company. You have no idea who knows who that walks in your door. As a company that provides products and services, I would think that you would be sensitive to that with showing respect to whomever you interact with during the course of doing your job. Although, I want to Thank you for showing your colors early in the process. By this experience, It would have been a shame if he was offered the job, took it, and then found out later how you treat your employees. If asking a very valid question gets you escorted out the building without any discussion, its obvious why they are currently hiring. You can bet I will make sure everyone I know hears about this experience.

They get incredibly busy during hunting season, as it's a small town and people come in from neighboring areas to drop off their deer. Because it is family run, their hours can vary so we have found it's best to call first before coming by. The cost to butcher your deer depends on what kind of cuts you'd like to get. On average, it's about $100 or so, which is a little on the high end but it's worth it. The cuts are good and even, without a lot of fat and silver skin. The smoked meats that he does are the best part of coming here. The slim Jim's, the summer sausage (both offered in cheese, spicy, or spicy cheese varieties) jerky cuts, breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, as well as your normal cuts like steaks, chops, roasts, hamburger, etc. I've never had a bad cut. We ordered a fried clam strip dinner, and small lobster bisque. They called my name, bagged it up, and I was out the door. When I returned home, we found a fish fry in our bag, and not fried clam strips. We were not going to drive back and return it, so we split it and ate it. Disappointed is an understatement, not to mention I was kicking myself for not checking. The fish was good, French fries soggy, Mac salad, was fresh. Unfortunately, they added the Mac salad to the same container as the hot food. Be prepared for some of it to be cold and some hot, Mac salad on the soggy fries, etc.... However, since the start of spring we have been in 3 times, and all 3 times, were turned off with cleanliness issues. The sticky floor and wrong order, was kind of the camels straw. We went last week too, I was looking for specific fresh seafood to make Lobster Newberg with. The Haddock is always fresh, I also asked for scallops, and shrimp. I took the last of their shrimp, and to my surprise when she told someone the shrimp bin was empty, they took a bag out of the freezer, and added it. I was surprised, I thought that was always fresh, and not frozen, not the other way around. I also noticed that the man who handled the scallops was not wearing gloves, and after he went and handled something else. These cross contamination issues, sour soup, and sticky floors, is not usual for them, and my BF and I decided we will look for another place until they clean it up.

The lines used to be out the door on a Friday. That should have been my first clue. Fish was ok not excellent like it used to be. But the coleslaw, potato salad and mac salad YUCK. Disgusting. A shame!
