Garden salad that came with the Panini Trio.
Jennifer P.

This place is open 24/7 so if it's late and you're hungry and feeling like a sandwich, it's a good place to go. It's somewhat-greasy fast food, so don't be expecting any froufrou gourmet paninis here. For $7.83 ($9 taxes included) you can get a panini, a drink, and your choice of soup, salad or dessert. It was approaching midnight, and we wanted a snack so we ordered a trio to share. The guy working at the counter was even nice enough to offer to cut the panini in half for us. We got the smoked turkey panini, a garden salad and a can of pop. The turkey was deli meat, which was expected. It had cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and a tad too much mayo for my liking. Nonetheless it was good. The salad was romaine lettuce with 1 cherry tomato and 1 slice of cucumber. The dressing came on the side and was oil and balsamic vinegar. Staff were friendly and efficient. Not gourmet fare, but good for late night munchies.

The paninis are more akin to a ciabatta or baguette sandwich, not very grilled or pressed. Had the mediterranean Greek panini, wasn't bad. Mediocre overall. Limited seating, but nice vibe.

I forgot to update my review of this place ! Delicious cheap panini's open 24/7. What's not to like? Highly recommend this place but don't get the mac and cheese!!! Also the music is quite loud so when you eat inside you won't be able to talk comfortably.

Great place to pick quick breakfast. Stopped here twice in 3 days. Egg muffin was really good. Bocconcini & tomato panini was good too. Cash only. Open 24 hours. Reasonably priced.

Picture this : you're out in Montréal late at night, either partying, working or just can't sleep. You have a craving for a big, juicy, satisfying sandwich of any type. Where do you go? Well, we have an answer for you : @joespanini24hrs! Where the paninis are fresh, the preparation is quick, the menu is vast and where they never sleep. It hits the spot just right anytime of day - or night.

Cheap and affordable decent food. It's rare to find a place in downtown where you can get a panini, a drink, a salad and a dessert for 10$ + tax, but this is one of the places. I tried the spicy chicken panini. Can't say it was delicious, but it was good enough. It wasn't too spicy and there's no awesomeness to it. It pretty much tastes like what it looks like. The quinoa salad was very bland even with the sauce. On the other hand, the pastries were amazing. I tried the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant and both were delicious and not too sweet with a slight crisp on the outside. The wait was a bit long even though it was almost 11pm. People kept coming in even when it was -25 degrees outside. Can't imagine how packed this place would be during warmer days. The staff is nice and friendly. Would definitely come back if I feel like a peasant and want cheap food.

Joe's Panini is a 24-hour panini shop located off of Drummond. They offer a variety of paninis, such as the ham and cheese, Philly cheesesteak, Nutella, grilled chicken, etc. I tried their Salami, which came with a vinaigrette dressing, mayo, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, cheese, and slices of salami. The bread, you can opt for white or wheat, or even a croissant. I stuck with the regular white, and while it could have been more buttered up and more crispier, it was a cheap and a simple bite to grab. Service was friendly, and there were some seats inside to enjoy your grub. Just note that they only accept Canadian credit or cash. +24-hour panini shop +friendly staff +Canadian credit or cash only

With a bit of time between checking out from the hotel and my departure flight, I needed a nibble. Joe's to the rescue with a hot and toasty panini sandwich. The dude (yes, dude is the right word here) spoke perfect English when I asked him what was good today. The spicy chicken was his recommendation and I grabbed a bottle of water to go with it. And then I went to my wallet. Oops - no Canadian cash left. No worries, he let me pay with American. Your mileage may vary. The sandwich was excellent. The right size and with a good amount of chicken and spiciness. On the minus side of the equation, there was no wifi in the place and the table where I sat was sticky. Minor details.

Pretty bad cheap sandwich...It wasn't like that before the quality went down really bad. I can feel old frozen bread. And the quality of the meet...lol No veggies in the steak and cheese sandwich.

Great little hole in the wall shop with a street side opening when the weather is nice. Awesome sandwiches menu is French and it may seem intimidating but just say hello and they will speak English. Food is awesome. Pro tip - coconut water in cans at the top of the cooler in the rear - perfect for thirsty pedestrians!

We stayed…read moreat Le Mount Stephen Hotel without doing much research on dining options, assuming we'd just find something nearby. But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

While the restaurant is highly celebrated and located within a Michelin-recognized hotel building, it does not hold a Michelin star of its own. But it is extremely classy. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner and it was a little more our speed, but if very, very attentive waitstaff is not your thing and $200 for lunch I'd skip this spot. We went because it had reviews for amazing beef Wellington and my husband hadn't had any in decades. And we were on vacation so let's go! The food was beautifully plated and service was impeccable inside of an amazingly decorated dining room that looked like a library in a mansion. The meals themselves weren't obscenely expensive but add a glass a wine, bread (it was not included) and coffee and it put us close to $200. But it was a great experience and I had never had beef Wellington - it was melt in your mouth good. Might go again next time we come up from CT.

Food was just okay; foie gras was overly sauced. Service was the main issue. My cappuccino was mostly foam, and the replacement was still charged on the bill. Had to wait for a manager who never showed up until much later, and even then, nothing was resolved--just called it a "miscommunication." Overall, poor service and not worth the trip. Would not recommend.

The bar is first come, first served, so if you forget to book ahead, it's definitely worth trying your luck. You can still order anything from the full menu. The modern, upscale interior sets the tone for a fancy brunch experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. Foie gras for breakfast? Absolutely yes. They also have a full bar for anyone who wants something pretty to sip on while enjoying their meal. The servers were bilingual in French and English, and they were kind, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.
