I can't wait for my dad to come visit, so I can take him here to get some fishing supplies before go fishing.

We lived on a military base, where life was super urban and the Nature Center was a place you went to on occasion. But again, I am trying. I stopped in here after a Sunday brunch and cocktails (see what I mean?). My thought process was that if I expose myself to businesses that deal with the outdoors then maybe it will help me get outdoors more. I went to the golf section first (taking it slow) to check out the apparel. I worked my way around to fishing gear then was sure to check out the knife selection. I must have spent a better part of an hour there. What I like most about this Savannah-based business is the variety of products. There is women's apparel, Yeti coolers, and more. They offer free classes like Fly Fishing 101, where you can learn about fly casting and outfit rigging (no, I don't know what that is). There are private classes you pay for like Fly Tying, Casting, and Fly Fishing School. I am glad they are in the area and maybe, just maybe, they can be the key to me loving the outdoors more.

Did not really look at the bikes too much because I was on a mission to find some safety lights to ride and be seen. The accessory selection was sparse and they had an older version of the ION front safety light, but a friend of mine who rides Road Bikes tells me this is where they shine. I will take there word for it because I quickly glanced at a few bikes and they were soooo beautiful and elegant! I was like WOW, then I saw some of the price tags and I was like W O W!!! Do not be discouraged though because they have a selection for everyone. Being transparent, I am a MTBer but if I ever decide to take that plunge, I would stop by here for a bike fitting.

Then he showed me several bikes in my price range and let me try them out. I found a bicycle that was the perfect combo of comfort, ease of use and price. Because of a special on this brand, I was able to save over $300. Chandler helped me understand what accessories I would need and explained the purpose and use of each one. There was no upsell involved -- he wanted me to understand what was available. He explained I didn't need to buy everything he showed me today. What I did need to begin riding was a helmet (which he helped me with getting one that fit like a glove), a tire pump and road kit for repairs. Chandler took all the time I needed to ensure I was comfortable with the purchase. He adjusted the bike to fit me and made sure it was ready to hit the road. Unfortunately, we couldn't fit it into my car. Chandler went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations: he said he would bring the bike to my house when he got off work. You don't find that level of service many places anymore. I would highly recommend AJBW for all biking needs. Be sure to ask for Chandler B to be sure you have a terrific experience. Placed an order for grips that were shown as in stock. After a week, I had not heard form them…read moreabout the order. I emailed them, but never heard back. A few days later I went onto their live chat. Then THEN told me there was a 'glitch in their inventory', and that they were out of stock. So in the nearly two weeks since I placed my order, then never thought to email me that they were out of stock and send me an ETA for when they would get more? I asked them to cancel the order. They said it would take 5-10 days to refund my credit card! We'll see if I have to call my credit card company to actually get the refund. Terrible, terrible company.
