I had dental surgery and two upper crowns placed. Crowns and stems do not last forever and I have had them replaced twice since that time. About two years ago one of the stems broke again and my front upper cap came off . I had other estimates in Greenville to get the stem repaired,( as well as pricing for permanent implants) and felt defeated each time when assessing the overall cost involved. I cannot say enough about Dr Hoskins and his entire staff! From the first phone call I noticed a true caring for me as an individual struggling with a cosmetic dental issue, the overall cost involved , the PTSD I still struggle with from the incident , and the personal embarrassment I felt trying to find a resolution I could afford and do in stages. As a woman , this repair is not only esthetically important to me but it carries a lot of emotional baggage as well. They listened to me , did not try to brush off my feelings , and treated me as an individual! I felt valued as a customer, and felt they listened to my needs. Historically I have absolutely cringed at the thought of going for dental work. I would almost rather do anything than go to the dentist ! But Dr Hoskins and his team made me feel welcomed and listened to my concerns , then came up with 2-3 different options or paths we could take together to improve my smile and dental health. I never felt like a freak or an anomaly ( which I had felt before from other dental offices ) when getting estimates or repairs. As well as giving me 2-3 options for the future , Dr Hoskins offered me a quick ( temporary ) resolution to repair the cap which no one else had even thought of or offered. I'm sending everyone i know to this office ! They are a great group of caring professionals! You are not just a number here - they will take the time to see you and hear your concerns. Tonight I cried on the way home, feeling incredibly blessed - (and still in shock) at the quick repair they made until I can afford to see the oral surgeon. If you hate going to the dentist , have put off your visit or cleaning due to COVID - don't delay ! Call Dr Hoskins and his team and schedule an appointment. I promise you won't regret it! There's something very different here as compared to other dental offices !

I've never enjoyed being in a dentist's chair, but the folks at Holliday Dental make it something I…read moredon't have to dread twice a year. The staff is very kind and courteous - once I arrived and my appointment was delayed about a half hour from other appointments running late and I was given a Starbucks gift card on my way out as an apology. That's the kind of thoughtful treatment you get here. Every other appointment I've been seen to almost immediately. They have a really nice lobby and location off Verdae with plenty of parking that is easy to get to. I'm always given a small bag of dental supplies specific to my needs (like floss to get around my wire brace behind my teeth) and offered bottled water on my way out. I've also really enjoyed being a patient of Dr. Holliday - he is the only Dentist I've been to that paid attention to my bite alignment and giving me feedback on the way my teeth are lining up and wearing on each other. I plan to be a patient here for many years!

I'm writing this review about Dr. Joseph Lawrence Holliday and Holliday Dental because my…read moreInvisalign treatment resulted in serious harm to my teeth, gums, bone, and bite. I have never written a negative review about a doctor before, but I wish I had seen a review like this before starting Invisalign with a general dentist instead of an orthodontist. After just 14 aligners, I noticed my gums were disappearing when I smiled. I was told it was just the way I was smiling, but another doctor later confirmed gum recession and bone loss. I stopped treatment at that point. Photos taken by Holliday Dental also showed gum loss, longer teeth, dark triangles, and purple gums, but Dr. Holliday has never acknowledged the damage. I had to get those photos directly from Invisalign because Holliday Dental refused to give them to me. In those photos, you can see the gum loss that occurred after just 14 lower aligners and 16 upper. I was not told my teeth would be moved that fast, and had I known, I would not have started treatment. When I started Invisalign, I was under the impression that it comes with no risk, because that's the way it was presented to me. Looking back, Dr. Holliday seemed more focused on selling me on treatment than on carefully evaluating my bite or explaining the risks. He comes across as a salesman. Dr. Holliday also failed to diagnose that my right-side bite involved a skeletal posterior crossbite. During treatment, I developed an open bite and was repeatedly told it would close on its own, but it never did. An orthodontist later told me my upper jaw is too narrow for my lower jaw on the right side and that correcting the crossbite would have required a different approach than aligners alone. Dr. Holliday kept telling me my right-side open bite would close within six months, even after I told him an orthodontist had already explained that it would not. The open bite never closed. In my opinion, he presents himself as capable of handling any case, which can be misleading to patients. He is not an orthodontist, and I believe orthodontists have the specialized training better suited for complex cases. During treatment, I noticed my right canine was hitting my upper incisor. Another doctor later explained that my teeth were not aligned correctly and that my midline was off. Before treatment, my crowded lower teeth still allowed my bite to close properly, but after they were straightened, my bite became misaligned. My teeth may be straighter, but they do not function correctly, and I now have painful bite problems on the right side that I did not have before. Dr. Holliday told me Invisalign could help my TMJ issues and would not hurt, but that was not my experience. Dr. Holliday told me that correcting my midline would pull my teeth out of the socket, but orthodontists later told me it could be corrected safely with proper planning. In my opinion, he relied too heavily on Invisalign's software instead of doing the clinical diagnosis needed for a skeletal bite problem. Dr. Holliday performed IPR on nearly every tooth in my mouth without clearly telling me upfront how extensive it would be. Before Invisalign, my teeth fit tightly together and floss would catch between them, but now floss slides through in many places and food gets stuck between my teeth. I was never told how many teeth he would remove enamel from, and had I known, I would not have started treatment. I still do not have all of the records I requested, including the TMT and any signed consent forms. When I asked whether those records existed, Holliday Dental only said they had "provided everything" and would not directly answer me. Two weeks after I stopped emailing them, I received a letter accusing me of harassment. I was offered a refund in exchange for signing an agreement that would release Holliday Dental from liability, but I could not accept that condition. If I had been warned upfront about the risks and properly informed about my treatment, I would have gone to an orthodontist instead.

I truly can't speak highly enough about my experience at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry in Greenville,…read moreSouth Carolina. As someone who originally lived in Denver, Colorado, and had established a strong relationship with my home office at Aurora Dentist & Orthodontics with Dr. Tesar, I never imagined I'd find myself needing dental care in a completely different state--let alone having to navigate continuing my Invisalign treatment while in the middle of a major life change. After moving from Denver to Asheville, North Carolina, to help with disaster cleanup efforts following Hurricane Helene, I was uncertain how I would manage my ongoing dental treatments. I left behind everything I had set up in Denver--the doctors, the appointments, and most importantly, my Invisalign treatment. My situation seemed tricky: I didn't know how I'd be able to continue my progress while balancing a demanding seven-day work week in disaster relief. But the collaboration between Dr. Tesar in Denver and Dr. Frassrand in Greenville, made all the difference. Dr. Tesar went above and beyond by reaching out to Dr. Frassrand to ensure that I could continue my Invisalign treatment. Thanks to their coordination, I was able to have my teeth scanned at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry, with the files promptly sent back to Denver so that I could receive my next set of trays. The seamless teamwork between the two offices was an absolute lifesaver and allowed me to stay on track with my dental treatment while focusing on the important work I was doing in North Carolina. From the moment I walked into Woodruff Smiles Dentistry, I felt incredibly welcomed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I immediately knew I was in good hands. Dr. Megan Frassrand was so kind and caring, and she took the time to ensure that I felt comfortable and at ease, just like I did back at my home office in Denver. The office staff was equally exceptional, showing genuine concern for my dental health and making sure I had everything I needed. They went above and beyond in providing phenomenal customer service, ensuring that my care wouldn't be interrupted while I was working tirelessly in the disaster zone. In an incredibly challenging time, the team at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry not only made sure my treatment continued without pause, but they also made me feel like family. I am so grateful for the extraordinary service and care I received. If you're looking for a dental practice that truly goes the extra mile, I highly recommend Woodruff Smiles Dentistry in Greenville, SC. Thank you, Dr. Frassrand and team, for your unwavering support and kindness!
