I truly can't speak highly enough about my experience at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry in Greenville, South Carolina. As someone who originally lived in Denver, Colorado, and had established a strong relationship with my home office at Aurora Dentist & Orthodontics with Dr. Tesar, I never imagined I'd find myself needing dental care in a completely different state--let alone having to navigate continuing my Invisalign treatment while in the middle of a major life change. After moving from Denver to Asheville, North Carolina, to help with disaster cleanup efforts following Hurricane Helene, I was uncertain how I would manage my ongoing dental treatments. I left behind everything I had set up in Denver--the doctors, the appointments, and most importantly, my Invisalign treatment. My situation seemed tricky: I didn't know how I'd be able to continue my progress while balancing a demanding seven-day work week in disaster relief. But the collaboration between Dr. Tesar in Denver and Dr. Frassrand in Greenville, made all the difference. Dr. Tesar went above and beyond by reaching out to Dr. Frassrand to ensure that I could continue my Invisalign treatment. Thanks to their coordination, I was able to have my teeth scanned at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry, with the files promptly sent back to Denver so that I could receive my next set of trays. The seamless teamwork between the two offices was an absolute lifesaver and allowed me to stay on track with my dental treatment while focusing on the important work I was doing in North Carolina. From the moment I walked into Woodruff Smiles Dentistry, I felt incredibly welcomed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I immediately knew I was in good hands. Dr. Megan Frassrand was so kind and caring, and she took the time to ensure that I felt comfortable and at ease, just like I did back at my home office in Denver. The office staff was equally exceptional, showing genuine concern for my dental health and making sure I had everything I needed. They went above and beyond in providing phenomenal customer service, ensuring that my care wouldn't be interrupted while I was working tirelessly in the disaster zone. In an incredibly challenging time, the team at Woodruff Smiles Dentistry not only made sure my treatment continued without pause, but they also made me feel like family. Today I had an appointment scheduled for 4pm., filled out the online checkin. Arrived at 2pm., called from my parking spot to see if they could take me early. Possibly a cancellation & to inquire if they were on time because I had errands I could do. Indicated that they were NO cancellations, they short handed but on time. The dentist would be doing my cleaning. Return at 3:50, had inquiries about the cost & ultimately questioned why it had increased. Requested my debit back & decided to pay with my credit card. I told her I'd not be back that my previous dentist went on maternity leave & her husband has now opened an office. After receptionist went back & forth asking the dentist questions she finally took my payment at 4:13pm. Dentist came out, explained why by law they were required to X-ray, exam & clean. Then she said they tried to call you yesterday to reschedule your appointment, twice. I looked on my phone, no missed calls & related this to her. They checked my phone number, it was correct. I told her that I was here at 2:00, called & checked if they had cancelation, if not I'd go to Costco & be back at 4pm. She left. As I waited, then at 4:31this same receptionist said I'd suggest you maybe just go to them the other dentist. I said, I am in Sept., I've made the appointment. She said it again, that she suggests I go there. I said I'm here now & I'll wait for my appointment, unless what you're saying you're kicking me out? She not kicking you out but we are double booked & the Dentist will be awhile in this procedure. I'm refunding your payment. I said I've no choice her? Let me speak to the office manager, she said that would be me. "Salena Smalls", is who my document indicates. Listen it's disrespectful to have wasted my time, if they are incompetent by over booking & not being honest about contacting me to reschedule. Now after all of this I'm basically kicked out. My money was refunded at 4:32 pm. I asked if I could speak to the dentist again, I was told she would probably be another 40 mins due to her patient & procedure. As I sat there the dental hygienist on staff left for the day, approximately 4:45. So unprofessional, disrespectful & possibly incompetent. I plan to contact the better business bureau. read more

i would not recommend. After the examine, the dentist began with the list of suggested treatment. Upon review, as the patient i was not provided an option as to which treatment plan i felt was best for myself or my pockets. The dentist advised if i did not select the increased coverage treatment plan, she would not provide care. At that time i requested my exam records and left. It really wasnt the cost, it was the non flexibility by to the office to the patient to have options available for treatment plans. It felt like i was being taken advantage of by a car mechanic. I would not recommend this dentist office. While we respect a doctors suggestions, they must have the hindsight to also listen to the patient vs only attempting to pad the bill. This Dental office has terrible business practices. We provided all insurance information and date of birth to the business office as requested by them to enqure if they accepted our insurance. Then told us to schedule an appointment. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence would take that to mean that they accept your insurance. After first visit which included X-rays and a treatment plan my husband signed a consent form which included pricing and stated that they will submit to his insurance company. The consent form includes that what ever the insurance company doesn't pay the patient is responsible. No problem for us because he $3,000 benefit plan. How ever, before his second visit they asked for $118.00. They said they didn't know why. Then 2 weeks later one hours before his appointment to have his crown installed, I received an email requesting a por $498.00. We had no choice but to pay it. Again we inquired about why we had to pay this amount. They told us to call the insurance company because it was not their responsibility to tell us that they are out of network. They said that we should have checked with the insurance company before coming there and basically it was our fault for trusting them to be ethical enough to just tell us to check with our insurance company before even making an appointment with this practice. I found them online looking for a place with good reviews and also insurance they accepted. After communicating with them initially, I didn't see any reason to check with the insurance company. All they had to say in response to my question about insurance was to say, "you need to check with your insurance company because we don't provide patients with this information". But instead, they took advantage of our trust and caused us to have to pay out of pocket money that we wouldn't have to pay if they had been honest from the beginning. We do not recommend this practice. All they have to do is hide behind their consent form and continue to deceive patients. read more

I went for a deep cleaning by Dr Welch and Dr Boutwell. Dr Welch was absolutely awesome in doing my procedure. Not once did I feel any pain and she kept me informed as she was doing the procedure. It made the visit so calming. Dr Boutwell came in after to do the final procedure and she was awesome as well. She explained what she be doing and even gave these awesome glasses to wear while the laser procedure was being done. Both of these doctors are excellent at their job and I highly recommend anyone to visit for cleaning procedures. The front office was also very informative explaining what my insurance will cover and what I will need to pay. Overall I had a very good experience here and would come back again if I need deep cleaning procedures done. Thank you for making my visit painless and simple !! read more

Let me start by saying I have huge dental anxiety and leave dental offices in tears every time. and have avoided going to the dentist for years. No tears this time. This is hands down the BEST dentist office I have ever been to. I absolutely LOVE the receptionist she is very caring and sweet. The dental hygienist and dentist did their best to ensure I wasn't in pain and for the first time in my experience both had great bedside manners. I had a root canal and crown done and the crown is a PERFECT match to my other teeth. I wish I would have found this dentist earlier and I wouldn't have the problems I have now. A+++++ quality work and highly recommend. I won't ever go anywhere else!!! read more

WARNING WARNING WARNING A Must Read!! I made appt here after reading the reviews and said okay despite the negative reviews I'll give them a try. One of the most painful regrets I've ever experienced!! Please do not listen to their positive reviews. In my opinion they are writing them themselves. My experience: Made appt showed up w/teenage son to have his teeth clean. Made appt Five(5) days prior. My appt was on a Monday morning @8am. Had already filled out online e-Checkin. Had a phone call from office asking to verify appt. This was on my list as a recommendation from my insurance page. Got there and was told my insurance was not verified. I stated OK there's a number you can call I was told even if they verify it over the phone they still could not do the service. When ask why was I not notified about my insurance not being verified prior to my coming instead of on the day of service, I was told I just got here. We're closed over the weekend, this man was very unprofessional, very rude and no apology, unconcerned, and incompetent. I was also told we can do it for 59.00. What??? I have insurance. However, I was told again I can't verify but we can do it for 59.00. In my opinion I'm lead to believe he was pushing a special. When asked for office manager this man started he was one of the office managers. Listen this is unprofessionalism at its best!!! I took off work hauled my son out of bed early for this!! I never want anyone to go through this again . Please disregard the positive post and comments in my opinion they are not true. I receive no service that day left out upset and angry. This is a Store front bootleg so-called dentist office, not a real Dentist office in my opinion at all. Would not recommend. Current receptionist is rude. He called me to come in when I wasn't even scheduled and took no responsibility for it. Called me to say I have an appt coming up. Said okay and took took the day off work that day. I went in and he was like oh your not scheduled today. So I left. Called me a couple of days later and said hey your scheduled for this day, I jokingly said are you sure? I would hate to go and not be scheduled and I take another unpaid day off. He hung up the phone on my very rudely.so I called him back and said hey man you can just take me out of y'all's system I'll for. Another dentist. The dentist are really rough.
