It is with sadness that I leave this review. Atty. John Anderson passed away last year, and he is dearly missed! John was an EXCELLENT attorney! His son, Atty.Todd Anderson, took over my case after his father died. I felt I was getting good advice and was preparing for trial. Todd and I drove together when we met with the attorney representing the man who had caused the rear-end accident. Todd told the other attorney that we were going for the FULL AMOUNT in settlement. Todd assured me that we were in a very good position if we went to trial. He told me he felt I'd be very believable in court. The Mandatory Settlement Hearing and Court dates were set and recorded with the county. When I met with Todd, early in 2018, everything changed, WITHOUT ANY WARNING! We had been offered a small settlement, and Todd encouraged me to take it and not go to trial! He told me he didn't really "specialize" in Personal Injury Accident cases. He told me, twice, in front of his Paralegal, Linda, that he would only request reimbursement of the out-of-pocket expenses for his preliminary legal work, and to make it clear to any other attorney I might "hire", that there would be "no lien on attorney's fees", if I decided to go ahead with the case. He even gave me names of other attorneys that specialized in Personal Injury Accident cases! I was in shock! I felt totally abandoned and left his office in tears! John had handled a number of things for us in California over the time we have known him and all had been successful, but this last one was beyond what I thought was possible. I was in a head-on collision in Phoenix, AZ. If you want a $20K back stabber, this is your place! I hired John to draft a LLC op agreement, add me to title on a home here in SC, as my biz partner, but BF's attorney refused to implement our desired terms. He ordered I hire my own attorney. I felt we're on the same side! I initially paid John $10K. My 6 year long BF/partner had him draft our desired mutual agreement. (No alleged objections by me). He wanted to grant me half interest of a lucrative investment biz, wherein I located investments all yielding HIGH SECURED returns. We bought a 24 REOS, short sale rentals in Las Vegas; which skyrocketed, put remaining $ in high yield, well secured 12-13% hard money loans. BF had 0 investing knowledge, was loanin millions at 5% on a handshake. I advised him he'd be BK without security! He realized my expertise, the exorbitant, SECURE return and wanted me to earn half of otherwise, non existent profits. He's worth $10 mill. I earned the LLCS $3 mill profits in 4 yrs. John would draft our deal, send it to BF's lawyer, who repeatedly rejected it. John then demanded another $10K, as it dragged on a yr. as BF lawyer wouldn't draft our agreement. (Churn bills!) I told BF to fire idiot refusing to implement our plan, but he was spineless & wouldn't. John blames ME, said we were "fighting and if I'd stop, (BF would give me whatever I wanted)!" WRONG, DISCORD DUE TO HIS LAWYER REFUSAL! BF wanted me in will, said I was as his wife". Lawyer refused, said I had income FOREVER & a house. LIAR! I agreed to half profits only. APPRECIATED assets ARE all his. LUCKY GUY! Finally, we had a letter from BF's attorney A YEAR LATER outlining what we agreed. John GUARANTEED finalizing transfer of my 50% interest in our home, which I found later he never did (I learned in court), as he had me sign a doc, agreeing to sign a final doc, never presented to me. Fast forward 3 years, after split, due to a greedy thief hired to keep books, took over, gets huge % MY profits doing nothing, but caused liens, bounced checks, put entire real estate portfolio into foreclosure, due to unpaid HOAs w/late, legal fees, penalties, etc, all double original amount. Bkpr also blocked me from viewing loans online I SOLEY ORIGINATED. HE CLOSED OUR JOINT BANK ACCOUNT & LITERALLY FROZE ME OUT! I couldn't take the drama, greed and incompetence, so I broke it off. My pay then ceased, so I filed suit to enforce our deal. We settled at 35% discount, 0 interest, w/o high rate I earned LLC. Then refused to pay, as they broke into my home prior, changed locks, put on lock box, for other intruders during my absence. I was robbed of many valuables. Then bkpr called insurance co., told them not to pay my claim! AS HE CASHES MY CHECKS! Then adds to settlement AFTER court I CAN'T COLLECT INSURANCE $! Never agreed to or discussed in court. No one charged, no impact, Forced me to hire lawyer for that! John signed a favorable declaration prior to motivate their $1mill settlement, less a dozen lost homes, due to another $35K loser attorney who allowed them sold. 8 mo. I begged, cried to file suit & lis pendens, as my subsequent lawyer finally did, saving the remainders, but by then half our homes were sold below market by "financial advisor", who never invested us a dime, as he only knew risky stocks. I would've bought them, rather than allow investors to get my profits! No way to ever buy at original cost. Irretrievably lost. Catastrophic loss was a million +, including lost rents. SICKENING! My lawyer taped John's depo to show in court. He testified I "fought w/ex in his office" (LIE). We held hands in complete agreeable! DISCORD DUE TO BF LAWYER REFUSAL TO WRITE OUR DEAL! PERIOD! John claimed there's a "happiness clause", voiding our deal, if BF "unhappy"! There's no such provision! He says I took advantage over a 10 yr. old $20K used car, ring BF gave me, called me "GREEDY". I secured estate, was personal asst. did it all! 1/2 EARNINGS I SOLEY generated HE WANTED FOR ME ISNT EXCESSIVE! Final BF'S lawyer's letter states partnership perpetual, even if split! 10 yrs. I'm disabled now, would've kept my great job, if no deal! John testified NO LLC agreement! LIAR! Why did I pay $20K? TRUSTEE NEEDED, TROY AGREED & WITHDREW! JOHN says in depo "HE DIDN'T FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT", YET FELT GREAT TAKING MY $20K! TOTAL STAB IN BACK BY MY OWN OVERPAID LAYWER who never finalized a single doc! BF'S lawyers lied as John at trial, refuting OWN WRITTEN DOCS STATING I'M 50% PARTNER. I had witnesses BF told I was originator, 50% partner. He sent messages calling me "partner", praising my amazing success! Just sour he lost control of me, as I was sick of chaos & being frozen out. I live a structured life, wherein bills are paid timely. I'm fiercely loyal to my mate, don't allow adverse interference from greedy thieves causing drama & major losses.
