Ever feel like you have been taken advantage of. That's John's auto in South Amboy. First I had to order my own parts. Then I asked how much the labor would cost when I dropped it off and Bo said he will tell me when he is finished. Dropped off at 12:15 . It was done by four o'clock New fuel and a/c blower. Knew the problem and already had it halfway apart. $450 dollars really. That over a hundred dollars an hour. His response was that's the business bro! I am a union Ironworker and pull in a week what this guy makes in a day. Not even. I will never use them or recommend them. Bunch of thieves. Recommended by a friend and after a few visits I thought I found my go to mechanic close to my home. Man did that sour quickly. I have an older car and I don't enjoy the Dealer prices for maintenance. My engine light came on recently and my car was running rough. I pulled up to the shop and noticed that they were busy so I patiently waited for someone to acknowledge my presence. After a while the rotund fellow who works in the shop came into the office and didn't look too happy about me being there, something I noticed the last time I was there. I told him I just needed a quick diagnostic on the computer to let me know what the code read. He told me I would have to come back the next day because they didn't have any time to check it. I told him that the last time I was there he gave me an attitude as well and that I didn't appreciate it. His response to me was "Whatever dude". I couldn't afford to miss any time from work the next day either so I was forced to go to the Dealer. John Auto Center lost a customer that day and the sad thing is that I don't think they really cared that they did.
