Mechanics are to cars what Doctors are to people. There is nothing like having confidence in your Doctor when you are not feeling well. That's how I felt after only speaking with Eric for 10 minutes. I felt confident in his knowledge and ability. In the beginning of last summer, the AC in my Avolon was not working. I had been back and forth to the mechanic I was using for years what seemed like every week. He tried many things including 2 new compressors. By the end of the summer, the AC seemed to be working a little better and I assumed it was finally fixed. Moving forward to this week in April... the weather finally got a little warm enough for the AC. To my surprise, The AC didn't work again. I brought the car back to the mechanic. After trying to add some freon, I was told that I needed a new Condenser. I immediately remembered the ordeal I went through last summer I knew right there and then that I was not repeating it this summer. I remember a co-worker mentioning Eric's premium to me and that he was very happy with them, so I decided to take my car there myself. My drive there was anything but pleasant because in back of my mind I kept second guessing myself if I was doing the right thing and hoping I wasn't going to start the process yet again with a new mechanic. When I got there, Eric was pleasant and nice to deal with right off the bat. He listened to my saga, and actually came out to the car and took a quick look (usually when I drive up to a mechanic, they all say they can't look at it now and to leave it there). I explained my concerns to him and told him I didn't want to get into another 'let's try this and that' expensive scenario. Eric's informed me of his hourly rate and said that after that he would have a better idea of what it would cost to fix it. Sure enough, while I waited he worked non-stop on getting to the bottom of it. He narrowed down the problem to being an electrical one. I had an appointment to go so we agreed that I would bring it back the next morning. I was ready to pay him for the time he spend to diagnose the problem but he said it wasn't necessary and that he trusted me to go back the next day and settle the final cost then.(what mechanic that never saw you does that?). Sure enough, the next day I brought my car in. He and another mechanic worked on it nonstop while I waited. Guess what? My AC has never worked this GOOD; and the cost to me was MORE than fair. I come here periodically for regular maintenance such as oil changes, wheel balances, etc. Eric's service and knowledge is far greater than the chains (which I will not name ) in the area. He also makes himself available to speak with you if you have any particular questions about your vehicle. His prices are competitive and he, as well as his employees, are honest people. I never got the "(Fill in the blank) need to be changed now!" shitck that I have become accustomed to hearing from the other places I used to frequent. I can't speak to the other user's experience vis a vis inspection, but I have been here 5+ times and have had a pleasant experience each time. I would definitely recommend this place. Excellent, caring and truthful people. Fixed my car. Provided me ride back home while they were fixing and snow was about to start and then dropped the car after fixing at home. Eric, Tom and Benny Very nice people. Treated the car with care unlike the dealer I went to who vandalized it after keeping the car at their place for 4 days and asking for more money to fix it.
