516 auto care has gone down. Used to be my go to spot. Lately though the service there has been awful! God awful like I'd rather go to American tire and they are the worst! Brought my mom's care there one day for an oil change. The next day I went to move my car and my driveway had a huge amount of oil on it.I went to open the hood to check the oil level and found out my hood latch release was broken. Harry stated it was already broken when I brought it in...then when I went back to get my oil checked they stated that they neglected to put a new crush washer in the drain plug. Fine mistakes happen. But they still blame me for breaking the hood latch on the car. Unheard of lack of responsibility. I pushed it aside and decided to bring my other car in for some service. I get called one day and am told that I need some extra things aside from the stuff I brought in like hoses and thermostats fine regular wear and tear items. I go to get my car when it was done two days later and try to start my car. My battery is completely dead. I ask Harry what the cause is he advises my battery is dead and he jumps it thought it was strange but pushed it aside. Went to look at my engine bay and my coolant hose that he changed is zip tied to a hardline mind you everything was completely normal before I bought the car in. I asked what the deal was and he says my rad support is rusted and he had to finagle something to make it work. And then he says he didn't change the alternator belt cause it was hard to do. Yet you have to take off the belt to do the timing. So did he do my timing belt service?? That he charged me extra for? Also I find it weird that there was no mention of a dead battery when he called originally to advise that he needed to supply some things and it would be extra charges. Did he really supply those items? I've been going to Harry for years and these last few visits are the final straw! Harry is the worst! I'd advise if you want to get any work done to go elsewhere. All you'll get is your car back in worst condition then it came in and he will take no blame for the things he's done. DO NOT GO TO 516 AUTO CARE EVER!!!! NEVER!!!! Deepak was right to the point. Listened to what I was looking for and worked most importantly with my trade in (which I bought from him 5 years ago) and budget. He is very patient and professional and will follow up to my concerns after buying the car. A good example is the right front tire keeps loosing air after I got the car from him. "By Friday itll be ready." Come Friday. "I'll have it ready by Saturday." And you never call to update I have to call, and never got a straightforward answer. Then when I show up on Friday, it was just finally put on the lift and your excuse is you had to lay a guy off? Bullshit Harry. You did the same thing to my wife a year prior. Same exact thing! I should have learned then but gave you the benefit of the doubt and busniess. Your $200 refund doesn't cover the money I spent on my rental let alone the money spent on the other mechanic. The other mechanic stated that the issues with my vehicle were from your reinstallation after your service. I showed you his invoice so dont pull that bullshit reply on me. This review is because you earned it. Everything you offered is because I had to ask for it for the inconvenience. The battery you sold it and gave me issues within a year. That should be your warranty. You dont offer anything unless asked or demanded. Go here only if you dont have any self respect!!! No one had mask on. 199 County Rd 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857 I went here to inquire about price to fix my crv lower engine replacement. Even though this is small money for them they shouldn't treat customer like that. First of all no one had mask at all, no trace of wearing it. There were 3 folks in small room and no one care of safety. When I asked about estimate of the part and labor, sonny owner didn't even bother to reply back to me. Instead he called someone on phone and let them know about car which wasn't ready. Later one more customer came for major problem and he didnt even reply to me as courtesy to try different place as this cheap work for him. I felt so bad and end up leaving spot. Go here only if you dont have self respect. I will use honda service where you pay more but you get your self repect!!!! read more

Every time i get work done on the car it's always as promised. The only downside is that they can take a long time to get the job done. But that doesn't bother. Too many stories with this business. Long stories short: 1. They do what they can to get paid, so don't expect at least a decent car job 2. If they think you don't know how to check cars, they won't do the job and charge you anyways 3. They mess up, not their fault 4. I wouldn't even come here for last minute jobs They are the typical car shop that rips people off. How do you think they can afford to upgrade their shop. Take your business somewhere else. The saying is true, You Get What You Paid For. In this case you're basically paying for a very expensive parking spot. Some times you'll even get the car back, not what you asked for.
