I found WhiteMoose through Yelp after requesting quotes from several photographers. Kapri responded quickly, answered all of my questions, and offered exactly the type of professional headshot session I was looking for at a very fair price. During the session, Kapri was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable. She guided me through every pose and expression, which was especially helpful since I had never had professional business headshots taken before. I never felt rushed, and she took numerous photos with a variety of poses to ensure there were plenty of great options to choose from. Less than 24 hours later, I received an online proof gallery with clear instructions for selecting my favorite images. The selection process was simple and convenient. After making my selections, the final edited photos were delivered promptly and looked polished and professional. I am extremely happy with the final results and have already updated my LinkedIn profile, Facebook profile, and professional email accounts with my new headshots. If I ever need professional photography again, WhiteMoose Photography will be my first choice. I would absolutely recommend Kapri to anyone looking for high-quality professional headshots.

The moment itself is priceless to us -- which makes what followed harder to accept. Delivery problems: Our gallery was first sent to a complete stranger before it reached us. The delivered photos had tilted horizons across multiple images, soft/out-of-focus shots, and inconsistent color and exposure. The $300 wall: When we asked for the RAW files so we could correct the issues ourselves, we were told that would cost $300 via Zelle -- on top of the $300 session that was quoted in writing as including "all photos in digital form, full size, with professional print options." What we found when we checked the files: Most of the "full resolution" downloads were only 2,272×3,408 pixels (~7.7MP) -- roughly a third of what her Canon R6 actually produces -- while a few images in the same gallery came through at full size, proving the rest had been downsized. Only after we presented the file-dimension evidence did she re-export the gallery at true full resolution at no charge. The full-res files revealed the deeper problem -- the camera settings themselves. The blur wasn't a file issue; it was captured that way. One movement shot (a dip pose) was taken at 45mm, f/5, 1/100s, ISO 2,500 -- a shutter speed too slow to freeze that motion, with ISO already high, producing visible blur and softness. Another was shot at ISO 12,800 at 1/60s. All on an 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 consumer superzoom lens, for a planned evening session photographing moving people. These choices raise real questions about the ability to select appropriate equipment and settings for the conditions -- and the resulting noise, motion blur, and missed focus can never be recovered by any editing. Several photos of a once-in-a-lifetime moment are simply unusable. Bottom line: We ultimately received our full-resolution files and a written print release -- but only because we knew how to check pixel dimensions and pushed back with evidence over several days. Most clients would never know what they didn't receive. If you book here: get the print release in writing before the shoot, ask what lens and settings will be used for evening sessions, and verify your file dimensions before accepting delivery. Update, re: owner's reply -- RAW files were never the point; full resolution was. When RAWs were quoted at $300, we asked instead for the images we paid for to be re-exported at full resolution -- which she did at no charge. That speaks for itself. My review stands.

The saying that a pictures is worth a thousand words doesn't fall short when it comes to excellent wedding photography, because your wedding photos are priceless and they are meant to capture the love, joy, and memories of your special day. C. Baron Photography is more than just a professional photography company because they absolutely will not be disappointed and I highly recommend them for your special day. My husband and I got married at The Gallery in May 2013 and C. Baron provides us with stunning and spectacular wedding photos. It really is a shame and actually very sad to read the low reviews that some people wrote about C. Baron because with my experience working with them, C. Baron goes to infinity and beyond for their clients. Actually, you're not a "client" to C. Baron, they become your friend and I am honored to say I will continue to stay in contact and further use them for future services. Prior to being recommended to C. Baron Photography, I looked into several other photographers in the Houston area that treated me as just another bride-to-be looking to hire a photographer. Some companies were way too expensive for anyone and their pictures were nothing to flaunt or be impressed by. Other photographers were very rude and uninviting. First impression are everything and when my wedding planner - Kristina Kellogg from Ultimate Events Unlimited - heard of my horrible experiences she immediately stepped in and scheduled an appointed with C. Baron. My mother and I met with them at The Gallery and they showed us more than just "small-thumbnail-samples", everything from engagement pictures, bridal portraits, wedding day pictures.. You name it, they had it. They have different priced packages that will customize for you, like they did for me. I had the pleasure to work with Lisa and Sandra for our engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and on our big day. They go out of their way to get to know you and your fiancé so you'll never feel uncomfortable. Let me say that my husband is not shy and he does not like to take pictures - that's him, and he often doesn't like to smile in pictures either. Well, let me tell you that Lisa and Sandra couldn't get him to STOP smiling during our engagement session and during our formal pictures on our wedding day. I also want to say that I was very close to my bridesmaids and my husband was very close to his groomsmen, but my bridesmaids and his groomsmen did not know one another and they first time they all met was during the rehearsal, but whenever all 12 of them lived out of town, all over Texas, and in different states it would have been impossible for all of them to get to know one another well enough before our wedding. Lisa and Sandra made all of them so comfortable with one another and from our pictures you would have no idea they didn't know each other. C. Baron Photography will do everything and more to make sure you are more than satisfied.Lisa and Sandra made sure me and my husband were relaxed and comfortable during our engagement session - and NOT a single picture from my wedding day was bad. They made sure to take pictures of the people we wanted pictures of and if there was someone who shouldn't be photographed, they won't! They have a talent like no other photography company I looked into. They make everything about you and at the end of the day your pictures are something beautiful and unique that captures your personality perfectly. I loved working with Lisa and Sandra and they delivered THE MOST amazing, comfortable, magnificent experience for me, my husband, and on our wedding day. Expect. Perfection.

Photographs are the best way to remember your big day, and what Sandra and Lisa capture aren't just photos, they're art. The whole process from beginning to end was so easy. After reviewing different photographers online, my now husband and I decided to meet with Lisa & Sandra of C. Baron Photography. We met in a local Starbucks. They brought samples of prints and wedding albums. We were blown away. Right then and there, a year out from our wedding, we signed the contract to work with them. It was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in regards to our wedding! Lisa and Sandra's communication is outstanding. They respond to emails usually in less than 12 hours. They're easy to reach by phone if you need to. They are super flexible, willing to work with you, and truly want you to be happy. Engagement Pictures: For one reason after another, we waited until about five weeks before our actual wedding to have our engagement pictures taken. We decided to have them in Galveston since it's where we got engaged & where our wedding would be. Lisa & Sandra had no problem with this. When the day came, unfortunately, it was about 40, cloudy, and windy. However, Lisa and Sandra still made it an enjoyable experience. We felt at ease in what could potentially be an awkward situation. (Having someone take pictures and telling you to pose in intimate ways can be awkward if you've never done it before!) The images that they captured are amazing! You would never know that I couldn't feel my feet by the end (I wore dresses in both pictures). The Wedding Day: We had figured out a time line with C. Baron before the wedding. They showed up exactly when they were supposed to, exactly where they were supposed to, and they even brought me the sweetest goody bag! Using them for our wedding day took away a large amount of my stress because I did not have to worry about getting my pictures back and hating them. And I was right! Other than the standard family posing pictures, I never even knew they were taking pictures. The images that they captured have made me laugh, they've made me smile, and they've even made me cry (in a good way!). I continually look at them over and over. I could not ask for better results. It took less than a month to get the digital version of the pictures, and our USB is on its way right now. If you're looking for photographers, you cannot go wrong with C. Baron Photography. If I had to do it all over again, they would be the first vendor I would rebook!
