Staff is always friendly and helpful. I only play pickleball here so can't speak to the tennis side of things, but the pickleball experience is top notch. Shout-out to Joel if you're taking lessons. Patient, clear, actually makes you better. Try to get him if you can. If you are a complete newbie, a clinic or group class is helpful. Beyond that, I think they are a bit overpriced for what you get. Instructors are good but with that many people on a court, you don't get individual attention. They recently started offering smaller-group lessons which seems like a better format. Now the asterisk. Reservations are basically impossible. Booking opens at 12:30pm and courts are gone in, not an exaggeration, one second. Again, I'm not exaggerating. And even if you click at exactly 12:30:00, you still might not get one. I've also heard the owners aren't fans of pickleball and aren't planning to add more courts, which if true is a bummer because the demand is obviously there. Honestly the reservation thing is so bad I went back and forth on whether this should be four stars. But the place itself is so great, maybe it's just a victim of its own success. If you CAN get a reservation, it's unbeatable.

Since the courts are public, I'd be willing to contract and pay for time/security/etc. for approximately 10-days for qualifying rounds. The contact stated that they do *not* rent space for private tournaments. Weird, but fair enough. Then it was brought to my attention by several other people that the Kunal Patel ("KPSF Open") happens at this very site. I don't understand people using public spaces as their personal clubhouse where they pick-and-choose their policies. It's weird energy and after reading other reviews, it sounds like inconsistency is a pattern here.

Now I am back at it after starting work and after playing a while, there gets to a point where you hit a wall and need some help. Well, Bryan and Jimmy were the perfect cure. A lot of times, people are taught to play strictly a certain way and are tough on you about you doing it exactly their way. With Bryan and Jimmy, they instead try to bring out your hidden potential with your style of play. I found that in my few times going to their clinics and taking a lesson or two, I have improved a lot. Granted you need to practice on your own to hone in their teachings, but the way they support your game with their clinics and your mentality brings you a long way. Everyone is different and they know that, which is why they want you to learn and have fun. I met Bryan and Jimmy after seeing them a few times on the court and decided to give it a shot. It was easily one of the best decisions and I highly recommend them for whatever level you are at. They know their tennis and have a lot of coaching experience. They make tennis fun for everyone!

Bryan has been an amazing mentor and coach, pushing my players to new heights and continued success in tournament play. We are thrilled that his tennis camps are back this year. The camps are engaging and a good mix of drills to develop skills and games to keep the fun going. We've also appreciated how the camps are super flexible for morning/afternoon/full day sessions and as drop ins to cater around summer schedules. The camp also has enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated staff that give each child personalized attention. SF Topspin Tennis is highly recommended for beginner to intermediate players looking to improve their tennis while having fun in a super supportive environment.
