I only wish my other doctors were as good. And Marie really knows my back and is great. They are skilled at what they do. I can tell they have a very strong work ethic and Dr Santana takes pride in his business, and rightfully so. He is doing everything a business owner and doctor should be doing. They work long hours over there to be there for people in pain. Doctor Santana never rushes appointments. I don't know how he does it, but I always feel listened to. He makes sure you are already starting to feel less pain before you leave (and for me it is when I wake up the next day that my back is fully better). Also he treats his patients with compassion, kindness, and respects. There is no big ego like with many doctors. He is down to earth, and caring. I also love getting massages with Marie, as she knows my back well, and what it needs. Billie and Melinda hold down the front desk. They make sure that the trains run on time or handle any intangibles that may come up. So it finally got to a point that he was in pain almost all of the time and though I never thought chiropractors could help we didn't have much of choice since my boyfriend doesn't have health insurance and we can not afford thousands of dollars in treatment. I needed a place that was close to home and I preferred a doctor that spoke Spanish. I found that here at Vital Health with Dr. Melzer. We have been there for three treatments with Dr. Melzer and my boyfriend is feeling better and better. It's of course a process and no one is cured after one treatment but there is definite improvement just after three visits. It's a cute little office and they just remodeled it so it's really nice. Everything is really clean and sanitary. Everyone working there is very friendly. You have to park on the street but I've never had a problem getting a place to park. Dr. Melzer is one of the most nicest people I have ever met. He is so full of life and gives off such a great energy. He loves his work and he cares about his patients. He is so positive and so happy that you leave his office feeling fantastic just from being around him. You can tell by watching him that he knows what he is doing and his adjustments are done with care and precision. Dr. Melzer is going on vacation for a few weeks so I told my boyfriend that he will just have to wait until he comes back from vacation because I don't trust my boyfriend in the hands of anyone else. If you are having back pain don't hesitate to come here. They are having a cash patient special for $50.00 a visit. She knew all the right places to work on and after a couple of appointments, I was feeling much better. I also discovered Donna, one of the massage therapists. With me being a dental hygienist and always in search of the perfect massage therapist that gets all the kinks out, my search is over! Last week, I had a freak situation where I leaned forward to reach for something and my back spasmed and I lost control of my legs. I couldn't stand or put any pressure on either legs. After a couple of hours, I somehow managed to crawl onto an office chair with wheels and was wheeled out into our van. All I could do was roll into the van and just lay there. We headed over to Dr Baker. But when I got there, I was not able to even sit up. Dr Baker didn't even hesitate and treated me in the van. It was hot, like in the 80s and inside a parked van with the engine running and the doors open. A/C was on but it didn't help much as the heat from the exhaust was coming back into the van. By the 3rd attempt of sitting up, I was finally able to stand as well! Then I tried to take a step and thank goodness, I was able to! We were so grateful for her patience and her dedication in helping me get better that day. I have been seeing her and Donna at 2-3 times a week now and feeling much better. It's been a week now and still working out the kinks but every time I get a treatment, it is so amazing how she knows exactly where the problem is. After we get my lower back and neck fixed, I will present her with more aches and pain I've dealt with for years and thought there was nothing I could do about it.
