We love Dr Rick! He's been taking care of us for a couple years now. He a gentle soul with great old school techniques. I'm a big guy and he has no problem fixing me up. Our son is an athlete and see Dr Rick regularly to fix him up after pitching. He's got a nice office with a comfortable waiting area, and he's always willing to make time for us. I have been to several chiropractors over quite a few years and can comment. Dr. Goldenson is quite thorough and does an evaluation every visit to see what has changed. He then does an electro therapy, which I definitely like, followed by a massage table and a massage. The adjustment comes at the end. He does a mini evaluation at the end to see that problems got fixed (alignment, etc.). He remembers people and issues, which is really nice. He has a good bedside manner as well. Dr Rick has magic hands!! Whenever I feel neck and shoulder pain coming on, I come here and he is able to diagnose and fix my pain. I use to pop a pill and deal with the side effects of the drugs but no drugs needed here! He knows...he just knows how to fix things. Wow ! Nice way to twist things around and making it sound it was all part of the chiropractic procedure. I have clearly been to chiropractors before to know the difference between a professional touch and an uncalled for one ! ( who even said it was my 1st time ??? ) Putting your head down on my arm was certainly not needed and you can show empathy in other ways ! Also I never asked if you were alone upon my arrival ( I didn't ask ANY questions actually ) and there was no assistant or any person there being treated for the first 20 min or so. What a blessing to have Dr. Goldenson closed to my work. For 2 days I was suffering a neck/shoulder pain so bad that even muscle relaxer and Norco with Ibuprofen 800mg didn't seem to give any relief. I'm one of those that if I could pop a pill to solve my problem, why bother with treatment that requires so much time. Yesterday morning I couldn't take the pain anymore because driving to work was too uncomfortable even with all the meds. I walked in Dr.Goldenson office hoping he can do something and OMG, best decision I've ever made. This man is a healer!!! 30 minutes later and my pain is tolerable. He has magic hands and magic techniques. He switched me from head pad to cold pad instead explaining that the muscles are too inflamed and heat caused them to expand (opposite from my family doctor). I didn't take any more pills for the rest of the day, ice pad my muscles for 10 minutes before bed time and this morning I woke up and voila, pain went from level 9/10 to 2/3. It's almost as if the pain from 2 days ago never really existed. I thank you, my neck muscles thank you Dr. Goldenson. You are a true healer! read more

Honestly the best chiropractor I have been to. I have tried 5 or 6 others over the years and all around he is my favorite. I went to see Dr. Goldenson about 5 years ago for a few months and he was amazing then. I moved away from Torrance so didn't go back for a while . Then I Threw my back this weekend just cleaning lol. Hurt so bad. Guess I'm old... but sure enough Dr.goldenson had me good to go in like an hour. I drove from Dtla to see him. I'm a big guy 6'3 240lb and that seems to make it harder for some chiro to really get me a full adjustment in my mid back between the shoulder blade ( thanks computer posture) but Rick nails it every time. I am a new patient to Goldenson Chiropractic Center. When I walked into Dr. Goldenson's office I was in major pain, due to my lower back. Every move caused me pain and I could literally barely get around as a result. I surely did not believe that just one visit would help me feel better. I was wrong! I like Dr. Goldenson. He is pretty good overall and was pleasant to deal with. I unfortuntely was not happy with his billing team. I have Blue Shield insurance and have a $10.00 co-pay for in-network chiropractic treatment. My insurance company was charged $199.00 for my visit. It appears that my insurance paid $68.00, but I was billed $30.00. There was a note that they are writing off -$101.00. I really lose respect for organizations that intentionally overcharge insurance companies as that results in the increased insurance cost of every individual listed under the plan. I also dislike when I need to resolve billing issues when billing staff is incompetent in doing their work. To resolve the billing issue, I had to conference call both my insurance company and Dr. Goldenson's accounts receivable person. They ultimately acknowledged their mistake and I am paid my $10.00 co-pay. I'll need to see another office that wont overcharge my insurance and not erroneously try to charge me for amounts higher than my co-pay. If you see Dr. Goldenson, you will likely feel better as he is a good chiropractor. But I do recommend self-auditing your billing and check your EOB to see if they overcharge or charge your insurance for things they did not perform. In closing : 1st mistake = shame on them. 2nd mistake = shame on me. I wont allow a second mistake by opting to not return to their firm. No reflection on the doctor - just bad back office admin. read more

Dr. Goldenson is a gentle WONDER! I could barely walk into his office this morning. I was crippling over from a Sciatica & arthritis flare up. But, by the time Dr. Goldenson completed his series of treatment, I was able to stand up straight and walk WITHOUT pain! I was involved in a major car accident a few years ago. We were visiting family in another state and were driving in a van crossing a bridge when we came to an abrupt stop. Unfortunately, the truck behind us didn't stop in time before hitting our car and causing a five car pile-up. Adding to the misfortune, I was in the back seat of the van when we were hit. Needless to say, after that misadventure, I was suffering from severe back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain (my knee was pushed into the car seat in front of me in the accident). Dr. Goldenson was highly recommended to me when I was able to return to California. In addition to the treatment that he gave me, Dr. Goldenson also provided a solid medical explanation of where the pain was coming from. He showed me different stretches that I could do at work and at home to help strengthen my back muscles to help alleviate some of the muscle pain. Dr. Goldenson is very knowledgeable and personable. He cares more about his patients than anything else. He is willing to work with those who are fortunate enough to have health insurance and those who are not as blessed. He accommodates my hectic work schedule (which is huge considering my limited ability to miss work) and has gone out of his way to help me decipher the insurance claims following the accident. Dr. Goldenson has changed my perception of chiropractor after this first visit! I went in for severe neck pain, shoulder pain, and all the side effects caused by these areas including terrible pain, stiffness, headache, dizziness, and just not able to sleep from the pain last night. My range of motion sideways was also limited and I was about to drive all the way to Monterey Park to see my old Doctor. I'm so glad have this place a try, I figured, if it does not help then I'll go see my old Doctor later. I was a little skeptical since this is really a random pick as it is close to home and work. First impression was already so pleasant- office is so neat and clean, Dr. Goldenson's examining equipments are so scientific and advanced compared to the traditional Asian clinics I am used to seeing. After a series of examination, I was given a thorough explanation of where my spine is out of alignment and the problems tied together. Dr. G is funny and very personable, makes a new patient feel very comfortable! After muscle relaxation treatment and the "bone snapping" (quick and painless!) I felt so much better instantly! I was referred to Dr. Rick by a coworker and I never want to go anywhere else! I tend to have neck pain with headaches.
