My first time in the salon, I walked in & no one greeted me, actually no one was there. I just stood there not knowing what to do. I finally sat in a chair & waited. An older women with extremely short (unkept hair)came out and finished at the counter, looked at me, the walked away. I feel like she gave me a stare down, made me feel horrible. Finally a red head came out super big smile and was nice. She said John the owner would be with me soon. Almost 15 minutes after my appointment was suppose to start, a man came got me, I thought he was John but he's just the shampoo guy. The haircut was good, but I felt John talked a lot about himself, & apparently he has a lot of ex wives (the shampoo guy was doing a women who was joking with them about his Ex's). I could see past all the failures of good business's practice because the cut was brilliant; until my second visit. My second visit, still no greeting, the bathroom was still out of toilet paper, & the older stylist still ignored me. This time john 's assistant did my wash & style, John only did the cut, which was not as brilliant this time. I noticed hair piled up on the floor next to the garbage my first visit, well that's consistent because it was there my second visit to. After my cut I thought I'd purchase the shampoo he used on me, but the salon had no shampoo. John was walking around with an un-lit cigar in his mouth , which is quite tacky. I went back 2 more times and went to Aimee. She really was great, and I was very happy with her and the redhead that always greeted me. However the last time I went I also got my eyebrows waxed by the foreign lady, I was absolutely grossed out by her unkept room. I decided not to go back because on top of everything, every time I call no one answers the phone (I think it rang 9times before anyone picked up at 11:40am on a Thursday). Obviously not a happy client. For an upscale swanky jamestown salon I would say it's more of an illusion. read more

I scheduled hair appointments for my family, 4 of us, with Krista. Krista is amazing and very personable! My son was reluctant to get a haircut, but once she started he wanted a haircut too. My daughter was too shy to tell her what she wanted for her first go, but then after Krista finished her brother she spoke up and said what she wanted. Krista was super understanding and ended up giving her a second haircut! Then I've been trying for a while to get a disconnected fade, but every hairstylist would refuse and do their own thing. Krista went right to work and gave me the best haircut I've ever had! We all love our haircuts! Krista will be the only one for us! read more

I went here to see Krista, she is amazing. She works with my naturally curly/ wavy hair to get me the best cut for my unruly locks. Usually a stylist asks what you want and I feel a lot of pressure... I don't know what I want. I'm not a professional I don't know what would work best for my hair. But Krista Jee has that part covered, she is the hair professional I've been waiting for my whole life. My needs are vague short and low maintenance. I have always felt like I was fighting with my hair, and mostly on the losing end, but Krista changed that around for me. Thank you John David Salon! Thank you Krista!! read more

After working in corporate run, chain salons, and fast paced salons, I have to say I'm delighted to work not only with amazingly skilled stylists, but also in a breathe taking building. The Victoria home with modern decor creates a truly blissful time while you receive any of our services.
