I eagerly looked up their website where they very nicely advertise wedding packages both in house and available to travel. I called to get general information. I left my name, number and some general information with John the owner and he said they would get back to me the following day. I never heard back. About 1.5 months went by and I decided to try again. I spoke with someone and told them I had previously called but never got a return call. She apologized and said I would here from them By the end of the day. That was 2 months ago now, and I still have yet to hear from them. I have moved on and selected another salon in the area that returned my call 1 hour after inquiring and felt the need to appologize that "it took so long to return my call." that is how you do business and treat a potential client, NOT the way John David Salon did it. I hope this does not happen to anyone else simply because planning a wedding takes a lot of time and you shouldn't have to stress over someone not taking your potential future business seriously.

Came here a few weekends ago because I wanted a full spa-day experience after a few stressful weeks…read moreat work. I ended up going with an hour massage, a mani/pedi, and a haircut. Scheduling was easy- I stopped by a few days before, explained what I wanted, and they were able to get me scheduled. I walked in on the day of my appointment, and we got started with no wait. All of the ladies here are so friendly and so inviting. As soon as I walked in the door I was offered water and wine. One thing to mention is that they do hair and makeup for weddings. On the day of my appointment they were doing hair and makeup for a wedding party in house, so it got a little loud. They let me know that they had booked a wedding when I was scheduling my appointment, so I knew what I was getting myself into. Up first was the massage with Cynthia. Cynthia has the hands of an angel. Before getting started, she asked me some questions about my back health, and we discussed my massage history and massage preferences. I feel like she was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. It was so relaxing, there were a few times where I almost actually fell asleep. If you're looking for a really good massage in the Jamestown/ Chautauqua area, give Cynthia a call; you won't regret it. After the massage, came the mani/pedi and haircut with Marla. Marla is truly a gem. From the moment I met her, I knew we were going to get along just fine. She really made me feel like I was part of the family here. Mani/ pedi were relaxing, and came out exactly as expected. Color selection was a little limiting, but if you're all about the classics- nudes, reds, and navy/black, you won't have any trouble picking a color. On to the haircut... I have incredibly thick hair- the kind of hair that could easily cover 2 heads. Marla didn't hesitate for even a second, knew how to work with it, and gave me a cut that was just what I wanted. All in all I had a great, relaxing day. If you're in the market for any of the above services, Nouveau is worth a visit. One thing to note- when it comes to payment, each of the employees here are kind of like contractors- payment is separate for each service; cash or check seem to be preferred.
