The "stylists" were friendly and seemed knowledgable. My wife and I spent about an hour looking through fabric and having my measurements taken, which overall was fun. My sone small criticism at this stage was I felt they prodded me a bit too much into upgrading from "custom" to "bespoke", despite the fact that I had already agreed to spend what I consider a lot of money. After we finalized all details, they told me it would take 6-8 weeks to make and arrive. Eeeee. That's longer than I wanted to wait...but fine, good things are often worth the wait. Four weeks later, I received a call and was told they haven't even started making the suit as they don't actually have the fabric I selected. They then (albeit gently) again suggested I upgrade to "bespoke" so I could get a similar fabric. I was frustrated at how long it took them to identify the issue, so I ultimately asked for a refund and they didn't fuss too much and reasonably promptly refunded my credit card today. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they very well may have been a "one off" kind of mess up, but I lost patience and am now in the market for a competitor.

I could see from their window displays that there would be a good selection of better than average clothing. Upon going inside, we were cheerily greeted by Sandy (short for Santino, I presume.) He asked what we were looking for, and what budget we wanted to work with. I was specifically looking for a black, V-neck sweater. Sandy immediately knew what options he had in the store. It didn't take long at all for him to bring over a few selections. I was quickly able to make a choice. This sweater was made in Italy, and had some cashmere content. I couldn't believe how quick, easy, and pleasant the whole experience was. My purchase was nicely boxed and bagged. Sandy provided a gift receipt with a relaxed time frame in case the recipient needed to come in for an exchange. My husband meantime enjoyed browsing the imported clothing and made a note to return for himself. They create custom made suits on addition to the designer off the rack wares. High likelihood we will return when the time comes.

They had an extensive selection of dress shirts so it was quite overwhelming in a good way but with the help of the gentleman that served me I was able to find what I was looking for while staying within my budget. The store has a very relaxed atmosphere. You can take your time browsing while enjoying an espresso from their espresso bar. I ended up purchasing 3 dress shirts, a couple pairs of socks and a pocket square. I am extremely happy with my purchases. Top notch store with top notch customer service. If you want to dress to impress, yes, a suit costs $1000, sorry. Bespoke or custom made is not so much about the fabric, although that is very important, but its about the fit and the tailoring. I now have my own salesperson, Jack, who is fast, smart and well versed in mens clothing. I started at Rego by purchasing a bespoke shirt. Wow. Very nice. Made in India. Lots of vendors can do the same, but I did enjoy choosing the fabric with the owner and his son. Next, I brought some suits in that required tailoring. Their in-house tailor knows his stuff. I cannot tell you how many horror stories of local or recommended tailors who have botched work on my suits. If you require alterations, take them to Rego. Its a good way to get a feeling about the place. Finally, I bought a bespoke suit. It is marvelous. Perfect fit all around. Yes, $1000 but for me its and investment. Jack suggested I buy an extra pair of suit pants as these wear out first. I declined but a good idea. I wanted to get some dress pants as well. Bespoke start at $300 and go to $400. I selected off the rack for $225 and I am quite happy. Both came in and some tailoring required -- no cost. You can also get a shoe shine while you wait.

Trend is one of the only true bespoke (not made-to-measure) tailors left outside of Savile Row, London and the workmanship is exceptional. It's a process that takes time and it's expensive (although cheap relative to other bespoke tailors), but if you want the best quality there is no other tailor in Toronto that can compare.
