If you go to this store for rentals and the person you're dealing with is named Amanda, run far, far away.
It is 2 days before our wedding, and we are in a panic trying to correct things. Where to even start?
The groomsmen all went in a few months ago to choose suits and be measured but hadn't definitively chosen vest and tie colours. Since we had custom cufflinks made as groomsmen gifts, we specifically asked for French Cuffs to show them off. We went back a few weeks later and chose the final colours.
A few weeks ago we were in the plaza and decided to stop in to double-check. Thankfully we did, because the colours we chose were NOT in the system. We submitted our choices again, and while talking to her, discovered one of the groomsmen's name was incorrect in the system and asked her to fix it. We asked how far in advance the suits would be ready for pickup and were told not to worry because they call everyone about a week ahead of the wedding to let them know the suits were ready for pickup.
Fast forward to this week, while we're in the midst of the million little tasks that come with a wedding:
1. The shirts are NOT French Cuff. None of them. When we called to complain, Amanda actually tried to convince us that there's no difference between the sleeve they sent and a French cuff, and that if we want to show off the cufflinks all the groomsmen would have to go in and have the suit jacket sleeves hemmed up.
2. Two of our groomsmen were never called. We called the store to ask about it, and they said that they had called, but would call again. Two days later, still no calls, and it turns out that they don't even have one of the groomsmen's phone numbers (so how did you supposedly call him the first time?)
3. Even after telling her in person that our groomsman's name is "Taylor" not "Tyler", and being told that she would correct it, she repeatedly called him the wrong name today while trying to figure out how to get the correct shirts. It got to the point where I stopped the conversation and told her that I found it really offensive that she was calling him the wrong name, and that if she did it one more time I would lose my sh*t. She told me she was correcting it in the system at that moment. When we called main corporate line to submit a complaint after getting off the phone with Amanda, they STILL had the incorrect name in the system.
We are currently on hour 3 of trying to sort out this mess, which includes multiple calls between this store location, the main corporate line, and multiple groomsmen to figure out who can pick up which shirts and where (since this location doesn't have the correct shirt in the correct sizes for all groomsmen). I'm HOPING that the tie colours are all correct since 2 of our groomsmen haven't picked them up yet.
Even when dealing with all of this with the corporate office, we asked if there was any sort of compensation we would be getting for all of this frustration and getting the incorrect order, and the person on the phone seemed extremely surprised that we would even ask that, and reluctantly offered to look into whether or not she could get us a $100 gift card.
