My first dentist in LA was a close cousin of my friend. He did very good work and I knew he was trustworthy. I had complete faith he was taking care of me and not thinking of his wallet. When my first dentist moved away, he referred me to Dr Gonzalez. If I had any concerns, they were immediately gone after the first year. Dr. G took great care of me. Without hesitation, I have even more trust in Dr. G Lucky for me, I have a fairly clean mouth - just three fillings and all are bonded/composites put in place by Dr G over the years. All of them have significantly outlasted the lifespan of an average filling. Let me repeat that - all my fillings have lasted much, much longer than they were supposed to last. You see Dr G has this unique procedure that keeps restorations stronger and tighter than most other dentists. Why is this important? A filling by Dr G will need much fewer replacements than others - that's less time in the chair for the rest of your life -- and who doesn't want to stay out of the dentist office!? My dental guardian angel. Remember the episode of Seinfeld where Jerry dares to switch barbers within the same shop?? That's me, only with dentists. I switched to Dr. Gonzalez years ago and never looked back. Between not-so-great dental genes and a history of subpar work from other dentists, I used to dread going to the dentist. Seemed like more often than not, it would involved bad news, pain, and unwelcome expense. Dr. Gonzalez changed all that. He's a sculptor, a craftsman, a true artist ... and it shows in his dental work. I was born missing two front teeth AND with a large gap between the two front teeth I did get. In raw form, I looked like a hillbilly vampire. Dr. Gonzalez crafted veneers for my top front six teeth. Complete strangers have commented on how gorgeous my teeth are. I always respond with, "I can tell you where to buy them." At first they're confused by what I mean, and once I explain to them that they're veneers -- they're stunned. Dr. Gonzalez's work is beautiful, precise, and executed with the utmost care. He's also done crowns and fillings for me, all of which have lasted for years. He takes a conservative approach, which I always appreciate, and I've never encountered a more ethical medical professional. Okay. I can't imagine that there is a better dentist out there than Doctor G. He is amazing. I went to him because my dentist (at the time) wanted to put veneers on more of my teeth and I wanted a second opinion. Thank God I did this because Dr. G looked at my teeth and said, "You don't have a cracked tooth. You have filler there. Your gum was receding and a dentist put filler in to prevent further erosion." Not only did he save me thousands of dollars, he saved me from doing unnecessary damage to my teeth to put on veneers. What's even more impressive is that Dr. G is in Beverly Hills and he could have gotten more money from me by telling me I needed work on my teeth. I sent my husband to him and he did the same thing. My husband was sure he had a cavity in his tooth and Dr. G looked at it and said that there was nothing wrong! I decided to switch to Dr. G as my full time dentist. I went to his office for my bi-annual teeth cleaning and had THE BEST cleaning I have ever had. I told my husband to go and he agreed that it was excellent. I battle with me teeth. I've had 4 crowns on molars, 1 crown on a front tooth, and deal with periodontal disease with a lot of bone loss, all in the last 5 years since coming back to the LA area.
