She is a fast thinker. She researches a drug's history, to see if that drug is compatible to you..I have gained so much knowledge from her..I always look forward to seeing her, it's not a 'dread' thing..We have laughed and talked and shared family stories over the years...I am so glad she is much younger than me, because I can't imagine my healthcare being in anyone else's hands, let-alone better hands. She has been my dr since 1999. She's one of the busiest drs I've ever known. I can't praise her enough, I can't thank her enough...it would take a book.

I have gone to Dr. Galanes since I was a little girl and continued to follow her from doctors office to doctors office like a loyal patient (even after moving out of town). I was always happy with Dr. Galanes and just tried to look past how rude the staff is there. Today is Tuesday and I received a voicemail saying "just to let you know you have an appointment scheduled this Friday and unfortunately we are going to need to cancel that appointment. It looks like you are actually being dismissed from our practice. If you have any questions feel free to call us at 335-8500 thank you..." I, of course, called after being told I can no longer go to the same doctor anymore and was told well that would mean I can't get my prescription refilled and I immediately am done taking the same medicine I've been taking since high school and I need to find a different doctor... pretty much saying I'm not their problem anymore! After back and fourth phone calls all day and different stories as to how they came to this decision. I pretty much found out the office got audited in some way because of prescription they have been prescribing (I'm guessing the wrong way) and now pretty much are just going to get rid of the patients they must have messed up the paperwork on. The whole situation is very strange to me and I just want to warn any future possible patients to please reconsider because this office only thinks of you as a number and not a person anymore. They will try anything to put the blame on you whenever they mess anything up...

These sessions now take about 10 minutes each so if I stayed for my appointment which would then have begun at about 850 am it would have screwed up my entire day. I walked out and won't be returning. Doctors think they can get away with over booking and ignoring people whom also are very busy. Real doctors can get away with that because people go to them when they are ill and need help. Chiropractors don't have that luxury, if they can't stick to a schedule then maybe they shouldn't be in business.

Now I've found that reviews of his practice are 5 to 1 against him, most finding him arrogant, without compassion, and indifferent. I'd have to add ignorant to the other descriptive terms now that he's ejected me to the curb, to face opioid withdrawal cold turkey, after decades of opioid prescriptions. I, as several others that I know of, had to go to the ER after 'treatment' by him, spent almost a week there, and he refused to visit, right across the street from his office. I later learned that he has NO affiliations & no authorization with that hospital, which is counter to his information posted on many of the reference pages where he is listed. This is after I took the week off of work for the surgery, and will now have my return to work delayed for recovery time because the surgery is now rescheduled elsewhere at a later date. So, they cost me two weeks of work, Now who's losing money? I find this very inconsiderate and unacceptable, especially since they had two weeks to figure this out.
