I see some very negative reviews but they appear to be from many years ago so probably whatever was wrong has turned around.

His in-house physical therapist (Christian Bernard) is really good and the ones who didn't treat me seem good too. His team helped me conquer back pain, knees pain and finger strain (too much computer use). His reception team is newer and everyone has been very polite and helpful to me. Would go again for any other orthopedic injury.

What he wanted to do do for me as opposed what my insurance would allow was an issue. But he made sure that as long as I made certain changes with the type of shoes I wear, possible shots and stretches with a night boot would drastically improve my issues...and they have. I still have options later on but I just appreciate the modesty and keeping in mind of my finances. His staff as well are very sweet and have pleasurable dispositions. Dr. Kristian Monaghan has been my doctor for the past 8 years, and she is the main reason I've…read morecontinued with this practice. From our very first appointment, I felt confident in her expertise, and her care over the years has been excellent. If I were rating based on her alone, this would easily be a 5-star review. Unfortunately, the overall experience with the orthopedic office is very different. The insurance department, which appears to handle requests for multiple offices, really needs improvement. Pre-authorizations are consistently a struggle, and calls from the dept. are often not returned in a timely manner--if at all. I recently spent over 2 months waiting for an update on a medication request, only to discover (after contacting my insurance company myself) that the request had never been submitted. This was especially frustrating given that I'm preparing for a 2nd out of country travel in April and need to manage my pain care ahead of time. It's disappointing that such an outstanding doctor is supported by such poor administrative processes. I genuinely hope the office addresses these issues, because patients--especially those dealing with pain and recovery--deserve far better.

The results under her guidance are far superior to other PT experiences I've had. After total knee replacement, Monique, and as well Mr. Ho, encouraged and marshaled the enormous confidence and motivation required to get off the walker and cane. In only four weeks they added 70 degrees range of motion to the knee, which led to crucial cancellation of an imminent second operation to remove scar tissue. Without their advanced therapies, patience, and encyclopedic knowledge I would have ended up back in an OR, or worse. I will be grateful to Monique and Mr. Ho for the rest of my life.
