I'm not dismissing other people's experience with him, rather saying that I've been a long time patient and still choose to be one. He's always happy to see me and tries his best to listen to my concerns when I come in.

Fast forward to present day - I went to go visit him with another concern. After spending most of my visit talking about his own personal life and telling me that I looked to be in great shape (weird), he told me that I probably had no cause for concern (despite my discomfort and issues I was having with my body health) and just told me to go get blood and urine work done. I listened and did just that. The results came back pretty clean so I thought there was no cause for concern. 3 weeks later, my symptoms worsened so I called him on a Saturday to ask if there was any medicine I could take or if he could possibly prescribe me antibiotics to help me with an infection. He was very curt, blunt and rude over the phone telling me that I wasn't listening to him and if I wanted his opinion to just take it. He told me to go to urgent care so they could tell me what was wrong. Oh not to mention that he made sarcastic/snide remarks about asking me if I had multiple sexual partners without any sensitivity toward my situation. He was more interested in sounding sarcastic and lackadaisical than concerned. I wonder if he treats all his patients and even his own kids this way. If a Primary Care Physician can't even prescribe antibiotics, ever tell me what's wrong with my body and will lack any and all empathy when addressing me health concerns, what good is he? Seems like Dr. Gupta would be better suited to just being a guidance counselor since all he's interested in is discussing what he did over the weekend instead of offering any helpful medical advice or solutions. Not sure if he's past his prime, but these days, Dr. Gupta, you need some empathy and patience when speaking with folks. It's called being kind. If you're going to be rude because I "need to listen what I'm telling you to do and just take my opinion you called me for" when I'm clearly concerned and in pain, then you clearly have other issues. Never going back to this "doctor". Read the other poor reviews he has. It checks out. Seems like it's time for him to check out and hit the retirement stride.

Right now i go to a local clinic they are nice but no one can compare with this wonderful Doctor. he has a a very good spirit a man that loves God. I pray he is doing good. He outsources his reception service, so when you need him for something urgent, he is nowhere to be found. He has an app and communicates through that... If he communicates at all. I requested 2 referrals and neither have been processed. One was never responded to. I've left him several messages through the service, and he's only called back once. This spanned over 4 months. Recently, I had an emergency and needed a referral. Even my insurance provider was not able to reach him. I ended up spending $250 extra dollars to see Urgent Care, another PCP, and a specialist when it should have been just Dr. Epstein and a specialist. This is absolutely unacceptable. Really nice guy but what's the use if you need to move heaven and earth to have your problems resolved?

I went to see Dr. Sadikman and that was the start of a wonderful patient-doctor relationship. Dr. Sadikman is my GP or general physician. He is absolutely the kindest, most caring doctor, and such an excellent doctor. He won't give up in finding what is wrong with you, if you are sick. He listens to you and is very thorough in checking for what is making you ill. He will recommend a specialist, if you need one. The office just moved and they are in Bethesda now off of Rockledge Drive. His nurses Lilly and Taryn are the nicest medical professionals you could happen to meet. They are so receptive to your needs. Dr. Sadikman is a concierge practice. So, you pay a yearly fee. The nice thing about that is you can get in to see him, when you need to. Case in point, I had a question about a vaccination prior to international travel. Yes, CDC lists this vaccine and advises to take it, but Dr. Sadikman went much further, asking me about specific conditions I am likely to encounter, time of the year I will travel etc. before making his recommendation. That was most thoughtful. Dr. Sadikman is so much more than other docs who just want to write you a prescriptions. I feel very fortunate to have found his practice. He is complemented by overall excellent staff, working seamlessly with dr. Sadikman, the whole team delivers top-shelf care. Highly recommended.

It is certainly no fun when you or a loved one finds out they are going to need surgery. But when…read moreour family physician diagnosed a condition in my husband that can only be truly treated by surgery she recommended Dr. Oristian and we are so glad she did. Rich and I feel so lucky that we live in an area with outstanding medical care from our primary care doctor; to the cardiologist, who did pre-op work-up; to Dr. Oristian; to Holy Cross Hospital's surgical staff. Dr. Oristian took his time to explain why Rich's condition did call for surgery, to explain the process, and our options. When there was a very minor concern after the surgery he called us immediately and checked back with us two times that evening to ensure that it was indeed a minor complication. As Rich was waiting for his surgery to begin a volunteer stopped to talk to us and said he had had the same procedure 3 times. He said he had asked various nurses who he should use for his surgery and they all recommended Dr. Oristian. I have always thought if you need a physician referral, talk to a nurse. They know. Also, we noticed that he was named a top surgeon, a peer reviewed honor, in the latest Washingtonian Magazine. Not only was Dr. Oristian 5 stars but so was his staff. He listens closely, has a wonderful sense of humor and always puts me at ease even when I am anxious. I trust him implicitly. He's been so helpful every time I've been sick or had some weird medical issue. His staff is wonderful, no one is hard to reach and it's never difficult to get an appointment. I found Dr. Saedi because a colleague (who is very picky about medical care) recommended him and I am now having my husband and family go to him as well. He's a walking encyclopedia who is kind and attentive!

I just love her style - she's very REAL and spends time talking with you about both your medical issue and life in general. She was very sympathetic to my financial situation when I was seeing her (unemployed and without insurance) and always went out of her way to ensure that my costs would be as low as possible. My only regret is that once I became employed again my only option was Kaiser and I couldn't continue to see Kim for my medical needs. I HIGHLY recommend this practice, and Kim Kinder in particular.

A Dr. Patel emailed me saying she was filling in for Wexler and would send a script into CVS Specialty for me. That was over a week ago, and I still have no medicine because CVS Specialty claims Dr. Patel sent them an incomplete script. I sent a message regarding this to Dr. Patel, and all I got was an out of the office response. So, the circus starts all over again. I am disappointed with MedStar to allow such poor care to be acceptable. Their doctors are overworked, and I wonder if Dr. Wexler even has a staff based on the nonresponses I've received for so long. It is unbelievable ill people must go through so much just to get a prescription. If you want a doctor who responds to your needs, look for someone who cares enough to read his e-mails and has a staff who calls back.

It's not him, it's the staff that reads his emails. Unfortunately, what happens is a lot of messages have the same general questions. Which equates to a cookie cutter approach and the only person that feels its an emergency is the patient. Might I suggest when you visit his office get acquainted with his STAFF. How you interact with them and how friendly you are will make them remember you when you call or send a message.
