I had an impacted tooth and was looking to get an implant done. Being that he's a specialist, it was a little difficult to book sooner than later. But once you get into a consult with him, everything is very easy. Parking there is plentiful and the staff is friendly, professional and informative. Dr. Cargasacchi is great at explaining everything going that's going on and what needs to be done. He ended up doing a couple bone grafts and eventually my implant. I've had a gap where my canine should have been for most of my life and my new smile brought a lot of confidence back. It's been 8 years now and the implant is still going strong. So happy my dentist recommended him! It was a tad bit pricey, but I couldn't bare the thought of doing a bridge with other perfectly healthy teeth. This dentist is a pure professional. My implant required cadaver bone first. The entire process was months in length, but it was well worth it. Nobody likes to spend money on dental work! It's expensive and always seems to come at the worst time. But if you have to have work done, I would highly suggest going to Dr Cargasacchi. I have used him in the past for 2 implants, that have had no issues in over a decade. He is currently working on a couple extractions, bone grafts, sinus lifts, and implants on me. Not only does Dr Cargasacchi do amazing work, his staff is friendly and accommodating! You never have to wait at your appointment, which is absolutely unheard of in dentistry! I have been finishing up my orthodontic treatment through Dr. Brodsky in Lakewood and he referred me to Dr. Cargasacchi because I needed some dental implants. First of all, his front office staff are so welcoming and very friendly to talk to. They were very clear about billing and insurance stuff. They do accept Care Credit, in case you need to finance something. These procedures can be very expensive, even with insurance. Dr. Cargassachi's level of expertise was very comforting. Having oral surgery of any sort is scary as it is, but his level of confidence and knowledge put me at ease. I knew he was the right doctor for the job. You have to eat soup after oral surgery. Take Vicodin, too. Seriously, I didn't need too much Vicodin after gum surgery. I went to a different DDS for the first side of my mouth. I really liked him and thought he was good. But I had an issue with his staff, so I ended up with Dr. Cargasacchi to do the other side. Dr. Cargasacchi is calm and gentle, but I also have to believe he did a better job than the first DDS. I healed so much faster and with way less discomfort and bleeding. If you have to have periodontist work done, I totally recommend Dr. Cargasacchi. HIs staff is really professional and friendly, as well. read more

I came here after being referred by my regular dentist because I had some gum issues that needed to be taken care of. As I am with the regular dentist, I was anxious -- I don't know what it is about the dentist or periodontist that get me so spooked, but it all changed as soon as I met the staff at this office. All in all, the staff is great, from Janet at the front, Maria and Alex, the assistants, and Dr. Cargasacchi, himself. All of them are so professional, friendly, calm and easy-going, that it made me feel so at ease, even though I knew they were going to be cutting into my gums. Bravo to them! On top of that, I'm healing so well from my gum surgery, so I take it that Dr. Cargasacchi did a good job. If I ever need periodontal work again, I'll definitely be going back. I have been a patient of Dr. Cargasacchi for a long period of time. He is an excellent periodontist. I had a horrible dental issue related to malpractice by another dentist and he worked with my new dentist and orthodontist on a treatment plan that saved my smile. He just did a gum graft and it was quick and painless. I also got all my charges up front and there was never any question about how much money I owed. Also, $165 for an office consult with a periodontist of his caliber is cheap! It annoys me that people have him a low rating because they didn't ask the necessary financial questions ahead of time. Staff and Dr are all friendly and professional - almost TOO friendly for the early morning when I'm trying to give my pre-caffeine grumps a chance to burn off naturally. That much cheerfulness is infectious. They numb you well before proceeding. My first bone graft didn't completely take, so he has continued to work to make sure everything's correct for the implant. The front office girls make this office stand out above the rest! You will always find the front office staff to be professional, very forthcoming and helpful, and very cheerful. They give you the feeling that you are the only patient in the world that they have to pay attention to. Going to the dentist is always very nerve racking for me and those girls make a big difference. The doctor has good bedside manner and explains procedures WITHOUT condescension and very patiently. He is not chatty, very task oriented and nothing more, no warm fuzzies here, if that is what you need. I had one mplant done and had not the slightest problem. The only small ding in a perfect review might be the hygienist. Her personality is a little gruff and she doesn't worry as much about hurting you as others that I have been to. I passed on other recommended doctors and went to Dr. Cargasacchi for the sole reason that he participated in my insurance plan. I came in for my consultation, and he gave me a $400 estimate which my insurance would pay 75%. What he did not happen to mention was that he was going to send the small tissue he removed from inside my mouth to an out-of-network lab (my insurance would have paid 100% of an in-network lab). So out of nowhere, I get a $300 lab bill in the mail which my insurance won't cover which completely defeated the purpose for going to him in the first place. So I had to pay $100 out-of-pocket for the doctor's services and $300 for the lab bill. If I would have known about the $300 lab cost upfront, I would have gone to a recommend doctor instead. read more
