I had my account transferred from another state to John McCants State Farm office. I am over 50 years old and been with State Farm my entire adult life until coming into contact with this office. First of all, in the past when I changed agents the new agent would reach out personally and schedule a meeting to be sure all my insurance needs are being met. That didn't happen in this case. In fact, the first contact was a written notice of payment due! Not only that but my premiums had doubled. When I called the office and spoke with staff I got nowhere in understanding what had taken place. They would not budge on the cost or investigate why my premiums increased. I had one unproductive conversation with Mr McCant that left me feeling as if my concerns were of no consequence to him. I had no other choice but to shop for new insurance after close to 40 years with State Farm. Needless to say, I called USAA they researched and got to the bottom of the increase issue (which was attributed to my ex husband's name/account) and quoted me a price less than I was originally paying.
