My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple!

Although we…read moredo not have pets, we simply yours to check our while we were away for four months.From the very beginning, they were professional, reliable, and incredibly thorough. Knowing our home was being checked regularly gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Their communication was excellent--we received consistent updates and detailed reports, often with photos, so we always knew everything was in great shape. It was clear they truly care about their clients' homes and treat them as if they were their own. Any small issues that came up were handled promptly and efficiently, which made a huge difference. Their attention to detail and commitment to service really set them apart. We are extremely grateful for their outstanding care and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and dependable home watch services. Thank you again for everything!

    NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION…read more We have been a customer with Kyle since 2019. We have had normal walker issues like high turn over and inability to handle XL breeds etc but typically there was always a prompt and reasonable solution. Unfortunately, I can no longer endorse this service. We recently went on our honeymoon and booked overnight sitting and dog walking for 8 days. Sadly our pets were not taken care of to the level that we expect. Our show dog was allowed to overeat and was overweight and lethargic upon our return; the other two dogs were very skinny--apparently one dog got to eat and the others did not. They were also sick & given food that was not part of their diet which gave them severe diarrhea. Believe it or not, this really isn't the core of the issue. Read on you'll be glad you did. When we got home our house was left absolutely filthy by the overnight sitter. The foyer rugs were chewed up due to the dogs being left unsupervised (instructions required them to be crated when not actively watched) Again, not the worst of the offenses. Upon removing the destroyed rugs I find a pool of urine under the rugs. Upon the initial inspection of the guest room where the walker was permitted to sleep the guest bed was DEFECATED on. The feces filled sheets were thrown into our washer! Later on when we go to clean the bed we discover that the bed was also URINATED on destroying a brand new mattress. Fast forward to our conversation with Kyle (owner) he says he will make amends and pay for the cleaning. I send him a bill for the cost of professional cleaning, the property damage etc. He refunds $39. Total cost of property damage approximately $664. He then proceeds to try to haggle to pay for same to include our previously included 10% discount (we receive and always have received that due to the volume of services) with a week worth of walking services. We decline the services because well, our confidence was severely shaken. When we asked for the full refund for the items we had to replace & provided proof of purchase he went radio silent. At this point we have had to dispute the credit card charges with our bank and reasonably only asking for a refund for the damage. If that fails we will be forced to open a small claims action in court which is going to cost us more in court expenses and aggravation & him a ton more in legal fees then just resolving this amicably. But again we are forced to take these measures since he has absconded.

Why, you ask? Because our daycare package ran out last week, and per usual, we were going to buy it the next time we attended daycare. Unbeknownst to us, they were canceled out of the party, without even a phone call. Lucy and Ethel have been going there 4-5 days per week since they were puppies for almost 8 years now, except during our trips. Why would today be any different? We called and made sure we were rescheduled for the Mardi Gras party, and now we're told it's full and they can't go. This is how they treat their long time loyal customers. We've been consistently buying 30 day packages for almost 8 years, when they first opened their doors. Time to checkout K9. We heard they have a pool. #Feelingdisappointed #Feelinghurt

Not every boarding facility gave me access to the back areas for the tour but GP did and I was so appreciative. One of our dogs is very sensitive to being in a kennel environment as he was sent to the shelter multiple times before we adopted him. Golden Paws is nothing like a kennel; it's clean and beautiful and the noise level is very moderate from other animals and nonexistent from door slamming and other chaos. They are also flexible and allow us to have one dog in day care while one gets solitary play and the other two see each other. A lot to keep track of I'm sure! But they did take a very extensive intake on food, behavior, etc. before their first stay and always ask if I need to update. My only hesitancy when boarding is that they leave at night but I do trust when they say they have good system monitoring and someone nearby in case of an emergency. Every time we come back they recognize our dogs and are ready to take excellent care of them. Thank you Golden Paws!
