The Rangers are very nice, sociable, knowledgeable, and great with kids. Seems like it can get crowded during tourist season with campers, however, I haven't necessarily run into that problem. The front desk workers can be very slow and don't really seem to know what programs are happening when so I highly recommend following events on their Facebook page to know what's going on. And of course don't forget you're five dollars for parking and watch out for gopher tortoises crossing the roads!

Kids under 5 are free. We went on Saturday and there was a reactment event! Great way to experience the life at that time and hear the stories and historical information! These people are volunteers and it's their hobby that I appreciated a lot! The beach when you get out of the fort is different kind, no swimming and lots of driftwood and whatnot! The drive there and back is breathtaking following the winding road and looking at the moss covered trees that frame the road! We visit all the forts and historical sites as much as we can and this one is great!

We caught whiting, pompano, jacks, sharks, and even a few stingrays! We had our two children with us and they were wonderfully patient and answered what felt like thousands of questions! After the trip, Jimmy filleted out the twenty or so keepers and we feasted on fresh fish the next night. We look forward to fishing with them again next summer when we are back on Amelia Island.

All of the fishing tackle and licensing is covered when fishing with him. I always enjoy going fishing with him every chance I get. In my opinion he's the best of the best!
