Of course, like everyone, I dreaded to go but as soon as he said hello, he had me. -He said all the right things and kept saying them through the entire procedure. He talked about his favorite ice cream,and another hundred things that were quirky and funny the whole time. Did I need to retain any of that? No. Did he probably run this same schpeel 4 times earlier today already? Probably so and good for him. He found what works and he perfected it. I found it to be very distracting from what's going on by replacing the sounds and feels of dentistry with visuals of the stories he's telling. And he changes subject quickly so you never lose interest. Great tactics. Very nice man. You're in and out. Thank You!

I have two cracks in my tooth and it can't be saved and instead of doing a procedure and then having it be a failure and having to have a second or third procedure, he was truthful and is referring me to have one procedure done. I highly recommend him! After meeting the doctor, I only wish I could have the root canal done by him. But I still have other teeth so there still is time lol.

When I was a child, I would tell the dentist I had to use the restroom and then lock myself in the bathroom. My mother would always bring one of my siblings to my appointments, just in case they needed to jump into the chair and take my place. I put off getting the root canal done until I could no longer take the pain. Upon entering Dr. Pichardo's office I was impressed. The professional décor was nice. The staff that greeted me were equally as nice. The office atmosphere was both calm and relaxing. When it was my time to see Dr. Pichardo, I explained my anxiety about getting the procedure done. They reassured me that everything would be fine - and they were right! The procedure did not take long at all, and best of all I felt no pain. No pain during or even after the work was done. I was surprised how easy it was. I can't believe I waited so long to get it done. All the pain I could have avoided if I just made the appointment sooner. Dr Pichardo's office called me the next day to see how I was doing. I told them great! I had not experienced any pain, even when the numbness wore off. I was able to go right back to work after the procedure. It was no different than any normal, routine dental appointment. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pichardo to anyone who needs to get a root canal done. Also filed down a few of my other molars that I had no issue with prior which readjusted my bite causing severe pain. She stated to come back in if I'm in any pain. Why would I go to a dentist that doesn't give me the time of day and drills my teeth without my consent? This tooth has costed me over 2 grand and a lot of time spent in absolute agony. In the past she had mentioned that I am a great candidate for a porcelain crown on one of my molars that has a filling, well now she sees no problem with the filling just staying out since I'm just having sensitivity and there's no harm to the denta and I no longer need a crown. I'm not sure what's going on, but quality work and consistency isn't dr.islanders strong suit. My family and I will not be back. I wound absolutely not recommend Dr.iskander to anyone.

Which is reasonable but didn't call. They billed me for my dental X-rays and never called again. I had to call the center twice just to request my records to get another appointment elsewhere. This was handled with poor customer service and patient care, lack of communication and professionalism.
