I told her it isn't about the money; I simply do not want regular X-rays when I'm not experiencing a problem. All of this was in front of another patient. So not acceptable! After I was taken to an exam room, dentist Pole came in to talk about my refusal to have regular X-rays. He gave me his opinion about his inability to treat me without X-rays. Note - I had X-rays in 2024. He refused my cleaning since I refused X-rays! I got out of the chair, picked up my purse and walked to the reception desk and cancelled my husband's upcoming appointment. We have used this practice for years. Lately, our preferred dentist retired and clearly things have changed. Thank goodness apple valley isn't the only dental practice! I noticed the 2 1/2 star rating. Today it is 2 stars too many!

The only negative experience I had prior to the last few visits was years ago with Dr. Marti, who told me I had gingivitis despite the fact that I brush and floss religiously and have always been complimented on my dental health. After that visit, I saw Dr. Hearne for years, and he never mentioned any such issue. After Dr. Hearne retired, I was required to see Dr. Marti again for a cleaning and a cavity filling. Weeks after that filling, the tooth next to the one she worked on chipped. When I came back in, I was frustrated to learn that the appointment was only for her to "look at it," and that I would need to schedule yet another visit to actually fix the problem. When I expressed concern that the chipping occurred shortly after work was done on the neighboring tooth, Dr. Marti told me I should find another dentist--which I did. I left feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and concerned that issues were being created that did not previously exist. This experience was extremely disappointing after being a loyal patient for two decades. I would avoid this place at all costs which is sad to say. All of the other people that work here are amazing and I will miss them deeply.

She's so sweet, kind, funny-ish . She is knowledgeable in her precession and is always up for a chat while I'm there. Dr Marti is equally as awesome she is so personable and relatable. I thought I would never say, "It was a pleasure going to an endodontist to get not one, but two…read moreroot canals". I have had pedicures that were more traumatic. From the moment you enter her office you get a sense of being at the epicenter of professionalism, calm, and compassion. Dr. Thomas's 31 years of being an endodontist, including eight years in the Navy and being deployed during Operation Iraq, has served her well. While in her company you get the feeling, you are the only patient on that day's schedule. There is no sense of rush as she extensively answers your questions and will allay any fear in a professional and assuring manner. She has the gift of blending compassion and even humor when needed. My only regret is she doesn't do general dentistry as I would look forward to becoming her first patient.

I'm from Russia and I had a long story with that tooth having a cyst and a lot of inflammation for 2 or 3 years. Russian dentists (although I went to expensive clinics) told me to extract the tooth. The tooth was really difficult but I was lucky enough to come across dr Thomas. She saved my 5th tooth for that I have a feeling of warm and great gratitude.
