My daughter and I attended the Black Violin concert here. The venue is small enough that all the seats are great seats. And the acoustics are very good. Black Violin was spectacular!!!! One of the best concerts I have ever seen. They are talented and extremely creative. Their genre-defying music combines classic violin and viola classical pieces with contemporary hip hop being spun by a DJ and drums. Their combinations are acoustically beautiful, enhanced by their light display. They said they want to break down stereotypes and "crush peoples perceptions" and that is exactly what their thought provoking music does. I can't say enough nice things about this performance. It was a very moving experience that my daughter and I will never forget. If given the opportunity, they are a must see.

I love this venue. Here tonight for the Hiplet Ballerinas! The Savannah Black Heritage Festival! I would recommend this place for any theatrical performance. This event did not disappoint. The dancers were on "POINTE"! Pun intended! The hip-hop infusion was extremely entertaining and the Ballet was beautiful!!!

Nothing about this night was worthy of a good review. Security staff was training as people were lining up to go in. The makeshift concession stand was priced great but had no clue what they were doing.handed me a scalding hot pretzel on a piece of tissue paper. Which caused my hand to burn.the ushers had zero clue where any area was to seat people. They were fumbling around looking for seats. Then there was the opening act. To say he was a comidian is insulting to a true comidian , nothing he said was remotely funny. He made fun of the different services. Then due to lack of sales, they came up to the balcony and told everyone they could move down to orchestra seating. It was a mad rush, resulting in one lady attempting to run down the stairs and trip in he spiked heals. Plenty of seats were still available even after everyone came down. Now for the show itself, there was a lot of potential that was not utilized. You could barely hear the singer singing, he could not decide what voice to use. Was not sure if it was supposed to be a comedy or a concert. They claim to be a Vegas show, but there were long breaks with no one on stage but the boring band. Best part of the show was when someone threw a bra onstage. I may have been expecting to much from this show.

Words couldn't describe the experience you have when attending one of their events. Captivating

We went to see a comedian and the acoustics were so awful we couldn't understand most of what was being said.

It was so heartwarming to see the little kids from several classes perform. - Parking - Center lot. SCT is located in a strip mall on Victory, a very busy part of town. It's right across the street from Chick-Fil- A, also on Victory. The theatre is a lot bigger than I thought. From the outside, I got the impression that it was a small theatre. In fact, the space is pretty deep and there are several rooms and sections in the theatre. From what I saw, the children's field trip was basically participating in one of the workshops that SCT offers to children of all ages. It was so adorable to see the kids on stage. The kids were given various small props like a themed hat and they performed various Aesop's tales with the help of the instructor. There were at least 3 instructors and they each took turns directing the group of young aspiring actors on stage. The instructors did a great job! Such a fun way to get kids involved in the arts. I'll have to look at their schedule of performances and check out some shows with my kids!

Last year's production of Phantom of the Opera was the best show in Savannah. Their most recent production of the Little Mermaid was absolutely magical. I understand they are preparing for Jekyll and Hyde the musical. I already bought my tickets and encourage all theatre lovers to go see this performance which will be in the historic Savannah Theatre. They work harder than any theatre company in Savannah.

The Charleston Music Hall itself is a beautiful, historic venue--intimate, well-maintained, and known for hosting concerts, comedy shows, and special events. The seating is comfortable, sightlines are good, and acoustics are solid, which definitely worked in favor of the vocal performances. The singers were clearly talented and did a great job vocally--everyone sounded wonderful, and there's no denying the performers can sing. However, we personally felt that the show didn't quite feel like a full "production." It leaned heavily on straightforward singing, with limited storytelling, choreography, or theatrical elements to tie everything together. This may come down to expectations and personal preference. Growing up around Broadway shows in NYC, we're used to more dynamic, story-driven performances with larger production value, and this didn't quite meet that standard for us. While others may enjoy it for the music and holiday spirit--especially in a cozy venue like the Charleston Music Hall--we would probably not attend again, particularly considering the ticket price.
