Not only that, but Johnny took the time to explain each step of the process in order to make sure that I know what's happening to my knives! I came across Johnny's shop while visiting the local hardware store and wanted to bring my tools to have them sharpened. He did an amazing job on my scissors, knife, and even an axe. I used my axe to chop wood during a camping trip and accidentally chipped up the edge by hitting a rock and Johnny was able to resharpen and even secure the head of the axe because it was getting loose. Oh thank GOD I found Johnny. I tried watching all these tutorials on how to sharpen my knives, bought all this stuff and they all suck. Yes. Of course. I could be doing it wrong, but I've learned there are some things you need to leave to the professionals and this is one. My knives are so razor sharp it's amazing. He also did it so quickly with some amazing equipment and super high skill level. Johnny is a master of his craft. As a fabulous side note: I think Johnny is one of the most interesting individuals I've ever met. There needs to be a documentary about him asap. Genuine, friendly, intelligent, gifted, all of these yes, but his life stories take the cake. Anyhow. I want to take everyone I know on a little trip to see Johnny to soak up all of his wisdom while leaving with the sharpest knives ever. OH!!! Also!!!!!! Great tiny shop next to an ace hardware. Johnny told me that whoever I had brought my knives to previously had done an awful job and he brought my knives back to life.
