I was driving from KC, MO back to Chicagoland over the Christmas holidays.When filling up with gas my transmission completely dropped. I had my wife and two young children with me. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere. I thank God that when searching for a mechanic that Johnny's Auto Care came up first. It was around 9 pm. They came and got us and took us to a hotel and got us a special rate for the room. They drove the next day to St. Louis to get a transmission for my 91 Honda Accord. They had the transmission put in and ready in two days. The transmission was slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear. They got us home and said they would pay for further repairs I'm my hometown outside of Chicago. Once I told them what the mechanic here was saying, they asked if I could drive back to their location. I was able to. They again traveled to get another transmission and put it in without charging me another penny. They obviously lost money on my transaction but cared that the job was done correctly. Johnny and his team went above and beyond and stand by their job. They gave me a new look at humanity. What stand up men and honest hardworking individuals! I would recommend them to anyone. We don't see this compassion in this world in today's world! I am so thankful for them. read more

My water pump locked up and the serpentine belt snapped on me four hours away from home. I was truly up a creek. However, Johnny and staff were able to get me in immediately, diagnose the problem, go the extra mile to procure the parts that same afternoon, nail the actual repair, and get me back on the road ahead of schedule. I would like to give the highest accolades to John and his team for helping me out when I was stranded on a road trip this past week in the middle of winter with freezing temps !!! I am so happy I called his shop and I want to point out that his care and concern for my car situation went above and beyond my expectations ! John addressed my car concerns with expertise and extensive auto care knowledge. John did not hesitate to agree to assist me even AFTER his regular shop hours (on a Sunday !) due to the fact that I was just driving thru and unable to stay for a long period of time as my road trip had to get going stat to allow me to get back to work. I purchased a car in FL and attempted to drive it back home to MN. Once I entered MO at 7deg F the incorrect ratio of FL-coolant froze up my engine. John examined the engine immediately ( after hours ! ) to rule out more extensive damage and to be sure it was safe to have the car back on the road after the bad coolant was drained out and replaced. Also, John helped to book a hotel stay for me to spend the night and he even gave me rides to the hotel on Sunday and back to his shop on Monday morning to ensure that I was able to relax and be taken care of for the night. I spoke with several members of his shop and was treated kindly by everyone I met ! John also took the time to show me what engine parts were affected and even pointed out engine issues that will likely become a future concern ! John really is a saint ! If you need car repairs in the area ( Hannibal, MO) go to Johnny's Auto Care !!! His prices are reasonable and they beat what my MN repair guys would charge me. Finally, John's follow up was amazing as well : John called me two and four hours into the final leg of the trip on Monday to ensure that no other car issues had come up and to see if I was doing okay.
