    Cheese and tomato sandwich
    Logan L.

Friendly staff and great for a quick snack or full meal! My boyfriend and I wanted a quick bite to eat so we split a cheese and tomato sandwich-- simple but very tasty and hit the spot.

Small family owned shop. The employees are super nice and spoke some English. Food was tasty and very reasonably priced.

Odd food selections but good food! I had the nachos, great homemade tomato sauce. Being from TX, this is not salsa but more of a marinara, it was REALLY good. Great beer and drink selection, friendly staff and they speak English, German, and Spanish. My friend got the shrimp creole with spaghetti noodles, has a slow kick.

I was on my way with friends of mine and we just got out of "Rum Depot" right around the corner, so…read morewe were really pleased to see decent rum on their menu as well to tackle our thirst for rum. Once this was settled my friends - who have been here before - recommended the Octopus-Avocado-Salad and "OH MY!" what a salad this was... I was sceptical because I had a lot of average Octopus and if I am not by the ocean I am in doubt ... But this was possibly THE BEST bit of octopus I have ever tried! I followed up with the "Camarones Enchiladas" and tried pieces of the "Spanferkel" which were both great dishes but the star was the Octopus salad! They have a really small but great menu... I love that! Highly recommended!

I usually never order ropa vieja at any restaurant I go, just because I'm used to the way my mom makes it, but since I was craving some cuban food, I decided to give this a chance, and boy was I right. It was delicious, reminded me of my mom's cooking. I think I made my mom a bit jealous when I told her I loved someone else's ropa vieja. Another thing that I loved at this place was the Cuba Libre. It was perfect, and made with actual cuban rum. Since cuban rum is not really allowed in the states, this was a blessing. It was delicious, definitely recommend it. I spoke a little with the owner, and he was very nice. In conclusion, if you are in Berlin, do yourself a favor and go visit this restaurant. You will not regret it!

Fantastic local place to get some low-frills eats and beer! Very friendly staff who accommodated us…read morewithout a hitch. We came here after having been turned away by an Indonesian restaurant that was "full for the night". We are so glad that fate brought us here instead of that Indonesian restaurant!! What were we even thinking anyway -- forget the Indonesian food, get the local specialities!! Ordered the schnitzel as well as the meatballs and both were executed perfectly. Schnitzel was hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside -- not overly salty either. Meatballs were juicy and packed with flavor from the minced onions that they had mixed in. The beer (we ordered a Pilsner) was the best that we had tried in all of the Berlin and Dresden restaurants that we visited. I believe it is from some small private brewery affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, so definitely order the house beer. Super cozy seating (you'll probably be sharing a table with other guests) and packed all night long but amazing vibes and casual comfort food. Would come back if I ever visit Berlin again!

We tried to go to a nearby Greek place but they were full and kind of rude too. We walked over here and the place was empty at 6:30 pm so a bit worried. No need. The draft Pilsner was very excellent and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We got pork schnitzel and meatballs and it was really very tasty. Would recommend!

The asparagus came with a great butter and breadcrumbs sauce which drizzled on the potatoes was amazing. As silly as it sounds the boiled potatoes were the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked through but not mushy and they kept their shape. Pretzel was excellent as was the pork schnitzel, pounded thin and perfectly fried. We finished with apple strudel with ice cream, which was just ok, maybe a 3 for me. The waitress was quite surly and we had to chase her down to order after sitting there for 15 minutes without anyone coming to the table. That was the only real downside, though I noticed other tables were getting served quickly, so maybe it's a one-off thing only. Restaurant is quite big with lots of seating, many beer options and nice clean bathrooms downstairs as well.

Walking in the door gives you the feeling of dining in a Bavarian beer hall where there are plenty of locals enjoying the atmosphere. For us tourists, photos are included for most of the menu selections. I tried their signature dish: knuckle with cabbage and a potato dumpling. Even the half portion was huge! The veal schnitzel and steak entrees were also delicious. My server spoke little English, so knowledge of German would be a plus if dining here. The restaurant seems to be known for their beer and has quite a selection, however, a smaller wine menu is also available. I would definitely recommend making a reservation or coming early. As my friends and I were leaving, the line for entry was out the door.
