I recently made a cross-country trip and while traveling in Missouri, I had an incident with a deer…read morethat ran off after being hit. There was no blood and the car appeared to be fine, so I continued on only to discover the AC was no longer working. I still had about a four hour drive to my destination in Iowa, so I stopped at an Auto Zone and was able to confirm the fans were working and I was okay to drive without fear of the engine overheating. I just would not have any air conditioning. The weather was stifling and after Iowa I would be headed south. I arrived in Iowa on Sunday evening and stopped at Xpert Automotive on Monday morning to see about a repair. They confirmed the condenser was damaged and were apologetic that they would not be able to make the repair during my stay. There was an attempt to see about other shop options and when it was obvious there were none, they had a consult. After a brief period of time I was told they would be able to obtain the part later that day (Monday) and would work on the car after hours so I would be able to have it back on Tuesday WITH AC. I was so very grateful for their kindness! I was able to still make most of the visits I had planned on Monday before having to drop off the car and was also able to continue my visits on Tuesday after getting the car back. They dropped me off and picked me up at the hotel where I was staying as well. I know it was a sacrifice for them and feel they truly went above and beyond in their care of me and my vehicle in the situation I found myself in at the time. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!! Now that I am finally home after a month on the road, I can see the incredible blessing of the kindness of these people who were strangers and I can now call friends!

Cleaned the track but never worked right. Broke a part and glued it back together. Changed oil. Charged me $94 for conventional oil not synthetic. Broke my windshield washers then tried to repair with apiece of hose two inches long. Very terrible experience. A/c not working. He charged me for new freon but did not know compressor was bad. Friend paid $170. For repair then it needed towed in two days later for a starter which was not diagonosed correctly so now another $300. Try anywhere else. Even Walmart techs remember what they tell you but not here.

My gf went in and told him about it, " she said who ever pulled his car out there hit a metal gate" he said NO they didnt...she told him" a pic says 1000 words and I have alot of pics!" He walked out and looked at it and apologized said his grandson (employee) drove it into the fence and the he would pay for the damages...this had been going on now since October and he has been avoiding us not wanting to pay now for the damage that happened, we went to his shop and he tried sneaking out the back....We had a local auto body shop owner go to Gene's and look at the damage. We all agreed that we would go with that particular body shops estimate and that Gene would take care of the damage. Since then Gene Horton has done everything from lie to us to running away in his truck. Now we have to get insurance companies, police and possibly an attorney just to fix a few hundred dollars worth of damage. So if you want your car NOT to be fixed properly or if you want it damaged take it to Gene's Transmission in Quincy IL...guaranteed they will f@#k it up GOOD!
