Very disappointed with Hugo's service my husband it's been a client at this location for more then 15 years and this last time was a very bad experience cause he asked for an specific cut and got a completely different cut he complained about it. And the barber Hugo did not wanted to admit he completely messed up the hair. Will never go to this place again. First off the haircut wasn't bad. over all I know my son had a lot of hair and it wasn't going to be easy to style it. However it was the way she kept roughly moving his head and body into the position that she needed to do the work. I feel like she could have used her words more and be more careful as he is a kid. The customer service was not there so it didn't pass the vibe. Won't be coming back or recommending, sadly as patty has better reviews from other clients. I've been going to John's Barber Shop on and off for over 25 years. I do bounce around often because I travel and when I'm out of town, I have to find a Barber Shop on the road. That being said, when I do get to John's Barber Shop, I'm fortunate to get my hair cut by Hugo. Hugo is very nice, pays attention to detail and is fairly quick plus he uses a straight edge and shaving cream to clean up the back of the neck. The service was horrible not to mention the skills. It took the barber 1 hour to cut my son's hair and made it a mess . All he had to do was follow the same hair style. Nothing complicated just a plain comb over. Now his hair sticks up from the sides. Then the other barber a lady told my other son to act his age not realizing he's autistic. Normall when I go I get my hair cut with Hugo amazing to me and my kids! Today I went and he want there, Patty cut my kids hair, all I have to say is if you don't enjoy your profession why you there? This lady looked angry, pissed off and unpleasant, kids don't sit still for long periods of time, I never had any issue anywhere else, yet she want having it. I love taking my 2 boys to this Barbershop. My 3 year old hated getting his haircut and I tried everything to get him to like it. My husband and I decided to try John's Barbershop and we met Patty. She is Amazing!!! She has the right energy for kids and super patient. She immediately knew how to handle both my kids. She was so kind and sweet. Now my son loves to go get his haircut it's been a year now. He loves to see Patty and Hugo! For my 2 year old was easy he immediately felt comfortable with her. This place is okay. The lady who owns this place, Patty, is a real.... Piece of work (to keep it clean). She cuts hair way to fast and it seems like she does it for the money only. She doesn't even do a good job. But the reason why I still come here is because there are other barbers who actually do a great job. I have one in particular (Magi) who does a wonderful job and others who also do a decent job. It's not world class "A" professional cuts & they keep raising their prices, but I would still keep going here. Normally good haircuts but unless you want to pay 50 percent premium for an appointment be prepared for a wait of over 1 hour. Also they took their time with all of the regular patrons and I was shuffled thru without a neck trim. Now I remember why I stopped coming here. You pay market price for a haircut and you are treated like you are a discount customer. read more
