I mentioned to the Dr that I had a recent sore on the roof of my mouth that was healed which I asked if it could be HSV1 (cold sore virus) in which he said yes and then stated that I should have said something before he was in my mouth so that way he could have worn the proper PPE to prevent spreading the disease to himself and his assistant. (I did put it on my intake ppw btw) He stated he would continue the exam, but refused my cleaning stating the infection is still there for up two weeks and wanted me to come back for the cleaning. Being in the medical field myself, I know you should always treat EVERY patient as if they are infected so the proper PPE should have already been worn. He made me feel disgusting and I did not go back for my cleaning. They also never called me regarding my abnormal results and I had to have a family member in the dental field explain it to me.

I was and am still blown away by the quality and care that every single person has shown here. They…read moreworked with my insurance to get the best course of treatment covered, and they were even aware of major upcoming changes to my insurance that my insurance didn't mention. The quality of the work and level of care are also outstanding. I have never been less than thrilled with my treatment plan and the outcome of all work they've done, including temporary crowns and fillings. They thoroughly listen to patients, accommodate requests, and make sure you are aware of exactly what will be or is being done. When I was a new patient, they could tell that going to the dentist made me nervous, and they care enough to remember that and check in with me at a few points during every appointment. They are also open 12 hours every weekday and 6 hours on Saturdays, making sure that there is a spot open regardless of work or hectic schedules. Dr. Isaac has been in charge of my treatment plan across many appointments, and he is only satisfied when I am. He didn't radically alter my smile or bite, he stayed very close to my original tooth profile with small adjustments to improve look and function. He did radically alter my expectations of dental care and quality. I cannot emphasize how much better he is in every way than any of my previous dentists or dental offices. Extra shout out to his assistants Tiffany and Sadie, and to all of the DAs and even front office/billing personnel who have been equally caring and reassuring. I would rate the entire practice as a 6/5 if it let me.

The staff are all generally kind and their doctors are knowledgeable. The quality of care seems pretty average and they are somewhat attentive... The struggles I have with them are: - Upselling. I have dental insurance, yet I am always out of pocket WAY more then I thought I would be going in. With little reason, I am just told 'this is what you need' without any WHY I need it. - I never get follow up calls or explanations from them - i.e. My EOB from my insurance states different billing codes and amounts then what I was charged and no one has followed up with me - it's been nearly three months. - The employees never seem to know answers to questions I ask - I.E. what type of work am I having done? How long is my appointment? When should my son be seen? etc etc. I am met with employees who don't know, have to 'get back to me' and just are not trained well AT ALL. My story lies here: During my pregnancy, I was told everything was great. After having my son, I am immediately met with "you should have been seen every 3 months" and was told it was MY FAULT. I got back into cleanings and a plan and even had a bridge completed (something I have been waiting 20 years to do.) Bridge was done with complications which I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK and when I called they said it was because the doctor was on vacation - they blamed my doctor! Talk about unsupportive staff. Now I am being told I need ANOTHER deep cleaning WITH genetic testing and it's more money. Red flags you guys! Do better. I have yet to get a call back to really explain to me WHY I've paid what I've paid and WHY I need more work done. I don't know if I'll go back to be honest.

I'm not sure that the older dentist working there really specializes in pediatric dentistry. He had terrible bedside manner with my two very young kids and had a lot of bad things to say about the way their mouths were forming, which they have no control over. Everyone should know about this…read more Suing a dentist for malpractice in Colorado is impossible unless they've scammed you for tens of thousands of dollars. The system is set up in a way that you MUST be represented by a lawyer who specializes in medical malpractice in order to sue a dentist. The problem with that is, there are only 5 law firms in the entire state of Colorado that deal with dental malpractice lawsuits. Five. They obviously want decent money, so they only take cases in which the plaintiff stands to get tens of thousands in compensation from a lawsuit. This means if a dentist scams you out of "only" a few thousand dollars, you have no legal recourse whatsoever because no medical malpractice lawyer will take a case that doesn't pay BIG for them. They are in high demand and few supply. No medical malpractice lawyer = no ability to litigate against a dentist in Colorado. Dr. Parkin knows this very well. I had a crown done here which was so badly made it wouldn't adhere to my tooth properly. They immediately lied and blamed the bad fit and sharp pain on a "sprained tooth ligament". I knew the crown was not fit properly and hounded them for three weeks to fix it. They refused to fix it and made all sorts of lame excuses until the crown FELL OUT on day 21. Worse, before it fell out they claimed I needed a root canal in that tooth and tried to rush me into getting a root canal as if it were an emergency. I didn't need a root canal, though. There was nothing wrong with the tooth. I just needed them to fix their botched crown. You see, IF they were honorable and fixed the problem they created with a newly-milled crown they would have lost profit, so they decided it would be better for them to do a completely unecessary root canal and get paid insurance money for TWO procedures and lose no profit whatsoever. I realized they were lying immediately and had my crown done properly elswhere. The $1,500 I had paid them to do the crown was a complete loss because they claimed I was "not cooperating" with their treatment plan when I refused to let them do a root canal, so they wouldn't refund anything for the botched crown. They just lied to me about how perfectly fine the crown was until I couldn't stand the lies any more, then kept my money claiming I was "uncooperative with their solutions" which was fantastically demeaning. The tooth they insisted needed a root canal is still alive and healthy, three years later. Dr. Parkin knowingly tried to remove a perfectly healthy part of my body to save himself a small bit of money. . Colorado law states that dentists must make their records available to patients within 7 days of a written request. I requested my records several times, in particular the x-ray of the crown which was taken to ascertain how well it fit(documented and paid for by insurance), and they intentionally sent me an X-ray THAT WAS NOT MINE because they know the x-ray I requested was incriminating. They refused to comply with Colorado law concerning my medical records; even after several requests they didn't supply most of what was requested and sent me a fraudulent x-ray from someone else to cover their calculated exploitation. I submitted a complaint against Dr. Parkin and another dentist there with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in September of 2022. The other dentist has received a discipline from the dental board concerning her behavior. Dr. Parkin, the owner of Cheyenne Mountain Dental Care, is still being investigated concerning this incident over two years after complaint submission. My healthy tooth is worth far more than the few hundred dollars Dr. Parkin tried to take it for.
