I felt so at ease looking out at the beautiful view- I could use the word 'pampered' (which seems impossible coming from someone who does not enjoy visits with dentists). I will be recommending everyone to Dr. Watts. This visit has made me a believer that maybe (MAYBE), I can go to the dentist twice a year, like I'm supposed to, and not hate it.

I discovered, completely by chance, a duplicate payment of over $600, where both my insurer and I paid for the same service. It took an unreasonable amount of time for the office to acknowledge the overpayment, and I ultimately had to initiate a three-way call with the insurance company to get it resolved. Even then, my refund was only $585 because I had supposedly "hit the maximum." Had I known about this earlier, I would have scheduled my son's cleaning for January instead (new policy year). I also echo the concerns others have raised about aggressive upselling. I wish I had more time to explain how I uncovered this, but in short, check your statements carefully and think twice before trusting this practice.

Why would you only take a partial set of xrays on an initial exam and then somehow delete the xrays of the teeth that are of concern? Because you don't won't another dentist seeing that you completely overlooked areas of significant problems. Staff that presented treatment plan were extremely aggressive in demanding payment for half of the cost of plan(plan total of $18,000) which I had concerns with and hadn't agreed to yet. I have seen credible biological dentists where I previously lived with great success. Dr Yelle proposed treatments that directly conflicted with his assessments, ie implants in areas where there is significant bone loss. He clearly doesn't understand biological dentistry and was obviously just out to make a buck. Dr Yelle is a charlatan and his work is extremely lacking. Another dentist that I went to for a second opinion said that "in his opinion, his licensed should be revoked" and pointed out all of the areas that went unaddressed, including an infection in the tooth that initially brought me to him. . All of the work that he did do and that I paid $1800 for, has to be redone because none of the fillings are sealed. Other dentist's plan was significantly less in cost with more work getting done, the right way. Stay away if you value your health and your wallet!

I took her to see Dr. Thoman, and he had prescribed her antibiotics and pain medication and scheduled her for immediate tooth extractions. She was sent home with gauze for the bleeding, and by the next day, the bleeding had stopped, and she was feeling so much better. She had little pain throughout, and she's healing very well. So, when they told me that my hygienist for over 7 years had left, I felt very anxious beyond the normal dentist anxiety! Over 20 years I've had 4 hygienists, and each one had been better than the last! I felt I was at the top as hygienists go! Historically, Prestige Dental has always found excellent hygienists. So, I thought the odds were with me and, as in life, I should give people a shot. I went in, apprehensively, yesterday and met with an experienced but new to Prestige Dental hygienist named Marie. Let me cut to the chase, if you are worried about the recent change in hygienists at Prestige Dental, ask for Marie and you will not be disappointed. I was impressed by her knowledge of the industry, the details of my (very specific and exhaustive) care profile, her hand-skill in working with patients with hyper-sensitive teeth, and her bedside manner. Set your mind at ease, well, at least know that Marie will take excellent care of you. This high praise doesn't come easy and I don't give it lightly.

If those of you reading this review are looking for a great dentist, these guys are really good. I am now 76 years old and was billed a surprising dollar amount due to change in insurance carriers. I was not aware that the business / billing office would charge me 3 times what is the normal charge for Delta Dental or my new insurer United Health Care. In the past (with Delta) I was billed the difference between the "amount allowed" (the amount the insurance company is willing to pay) and the amount of coverage. example, Billed amount = $400, Amount Allowed = $150, Coverage is 50% of $150 = $75. Because I am now with United Health, same example... Billed amount =$400, Amount allowed = $150, Coverage is 50% should be $75 but NO, I am billed $400 - $150 = $250, coverage is 50% = $125, not $75 as billed under Delta , And NOT told that it would be billed this way until after the procedure(s) are done! Bottom line is if your insurance is out of network or you have no insurance, you are going to billed as much as 3 times more!! I discussed with Tiffany at the office who was very condescending and rude. Unfortunately I will have to change dentist due to the way NON NETWORK is handled at HBD. Tiffany had no problem with me no longer a patient. Terribly unfortunate as again I really like the dentists, but the business office is extremely lacking in tact and professionalism. I had to charge $800 to my credit card and because I am retired (unemployed, living off primarily social security) I will have to pay this off over the next year! No need for the office to reply to this, but I am fairly certain they will (especially if its the front office responding)
