Moving to a new town means starting over and I got a recommendation from a friend who also had bad experiences in the past, so I decided to give Covin Tao Dentistry a try. I've been several times now- for emergencies, like losing or breaking a crown, and also for checkups. I think I can now say that I can trust them and I can highly recommend them! This practice is recommended in many local Facebook groups as a place where the staff are gentle- I agree that this is the case after multiple visits. I really appreciate this. They seem to understand dental anxiety. :) I also deeply appreciate that they don't recommend a lot of extra things and don't seem to be focused on money; this is a huge relief to me. They don't pressure you and mostly don't shame you (although of course they are very focused on flossing education!) Their offices are very nice too. There are three doctors in the practice and they are all related! I think this is sweet and cool. Dr. Colvin is the husband, Dr. Tao is the wife, and then Dr. Kate is their daughter! I haven't met Dr. Tao yet but people RAVE about her! Dr. Colvin has been my primary dentist and he is very good, has a quirky personality, and really seems to know his stuff. When I had a crown fall out on a Friday after they were closed, because I am a patient with them, they arranged for someone to meet me at the office which I was SO grateful for! I got to meet Dr. Kate and found her absolutely delightful- gentle, kind, personable, funny, and she made the process not painful and quick- I was very impressed and I've had NO issues since! I really appreciated their customer service in helping me after hours and that I didn't have to wait all weekend for an appointment. Their communication was excellent too. The staff all seem friendly. I had a great experience yesterday with Courtney, a hygienist. I was impressed by her and didn't feel shamed in how she talked to me which was refreshing. Overall I am thankful to find a dental office that I feel I can trust and hopefully from now on won't dread going to! I encourage you to give them a try.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I'd been given a clean bill of health while underlying issues persisted. My wife, a retired dental hygienist, and I decided it was time to seek out better care--and we're incredibly grateful to have found it at Corera Family Dentistry. I had previously lost a tooth and received an implant, which later became the source of infection. During my consultation, Dr. Seibold was thoughtful, thorough, and collaborative. After reviewing panoramic X-rays and consulting directly with the oral surgeon who placed the implant, he carefully considered my case. Ultimately, Dr. Seibold determined that a more specialized dentist would be best equipped to manage my unique situation and referred me accordingly. What stood out most was the time he took to personally explain everything in detail and the integrity he showed by prioritizing my health over simply keeping my case in-house. She won't offer me any other times or dates, she forcefully wanted me to take back the appointment she canceled herself. You can't mess up and expect customers to clean up your mess. What pushed me away from this dental office was to see how this person would feel so entitled to manipulate another person's schedule on her own terms and be openly and confidently BITTER. Ultimately, I hold responsible the 2 dentists for not following with quality assurance with her. She was texting this unprofessional way to a customer of 10 years, and they didn't even have a clue. I thought it was weird that I had no pain whatsoever for having such "a large access close to my sinus cavity," which was my reason for seeking a second opinion. Dr. Burton did a thorough exam and took two additional X-rays (at my request) to determine if I needed these root canals. He found nothing wrong with either tooth! I appreciate Dr. Burton's honestly and will continue to see him from now on. Marlene, who handles the front desk is also very personable and knowledgeable. I have been in severe pain for two weeks and have had to go back multiple times, only to be told there is "nothing they can do" and to take pain meds. Today I was suddenly referred to an endodontist because the pain has gotten so bad, yet no one even tried to adjust the bite before jumping to another appointment a week out. The quality of the dental work was unacceptable. The assistants did almost everything, including the crown work, and they clearly are not trained well. One of them cut my gums during the procedure and said "oops." I have photos of the damage (my gums, tongue, and even lip). During one visit I received five shots because they could not get the tooth numb. My teeth were not hurting before I came here, I NEVER had pain in my mouth and now? After going to them, I am dealing with constant pain and have to go in for a REAL root canal to undo the damage they did with my nerve in my tooth. They also pressure patients into leaving five star reviews by promising free teeth whitening for life. This practice does not focus on patient care, only money. There are far better dentists in Colorado Springs. I regret ever coming here and will not be returning or spending another dollar.

I worked with Dr. Espinosa, who was very unwelcoming, ignorant, and rude, walking away after finishing the work without asking if I had any questions or concerns, without a word, explanation, or goodbye. (The things that made me feel that I was discriminated against as an Arab female immigrant with not too much English.) Dr. Kramer was much better than Dr. Espinosa. Also, please note that you can expect to work with assistants and hygienists more than the doctor. The luxury treatments they attempt to offer clients, like champagne and heated massage chairs, don't matter if faced with staff who won't listen to you, give you time, or make you feel comfortable and welcome during your treatment.
