Dr. Martin has been my OB/GYN since my first doctor retired several years ago. She has not steered me wrong and has been terrific ever since I started seeing her. My problems have not been easy and Dr. Martin has an excellent bedside manner, she is comforting, and offered treatments that have helped immensely. I have gone here for years. My original doc became a nightmare so I switched to another. That doc decided to only do hospital work so I was switched to a PA with no warning. I actually lovrd her and felt heard for the first time. However, she was the only one in the practice that would prescribe bio identical HRT. Getting refills was always a nightmare, but this time after two days of their phones being out, I find she is no longer employed there and there is no other doctor that will prescribe them. I find this out AFTER I'm in need. NO WARNING. Oh, and the post card they send to remind you of appointments so this doesn't happen. Guess they opted not to send the ones for the doc that left. no help at all. read more

I absolutely love my doctor here! However, I had to get in quickly once. I had an appointment with "Jen." She was so unprofessional and couldn't read my chart, like it was her first day on the job. I started coming to this office when starting our journey to attempt to expand our family. After trying for about a year, we succeeded! I was scheduled for a confirmation scan at 8 weeks. I was told they do not do confirmation appointments. To my dismay, I lost the pregnancy at 5 weeks. When I called to ask for help or advice, I was met with the absolute worst attitudes from everyone I spoke with. They had me come in for bloodwork to confirm. When I called in for results, I was told, and I quote, "IF you WERE pregnant, you're not now." I took MULTIPLE tests from different brands, marked test progression, tracked everything, I even started buying stuff for our new baby. We were EXCITED, only for every single person I spoke with in that office during this tragedy to be absolutely unsympathetic, rude, and cold. In fact, they required I PAY for paperwork for a leave of absence from work for a single week to grieve, only to then REFUSE TO PROVIDE THE DOCUMENT I PAID FOR. Don't give them the honor of being part of your journey. Go somewhere else. read more

Megan one of the nurses there is extremely rude. When expressing my concerns she acted like it was no big deal and her tone of voice was awful and acted like she was better than me. Do not recommend this office. I went to woman's health at advent and they were caring and took my concerns seriously. Turns out my iud was falling out which was causing alot of pain and also being a type 1 diabetic made my sugars super high. read more

I have never written a review before, but I felt it was necessary in this case because I was so disappointed with their office. I was a patient of Dr. Sheridan. He was incredible. Since he retired, all three of my visits to the office were only offered to be with the nurse practitioners. Unfortunately, I had an emergency issue that came up, and the NPs were unable to handle it after two visits. They said no doctor was available to consult or examine me each time. I ended up going to the ER, having an emergency procedure, and spending four days at the hospital because I was so sick with an infection. I was told to follow up with the office within a week of my discharge. They were unable to get me in with a doctor again for approximately thirty days due to scheduling issues. They told me to self-monitor. I ended up really sick again within ten days, resulting in another ER visit. This time, the office was able to get me in the following day after the ER visit (due to an ER doctor nudge), and I was able to see a doctor. However, the entire process made me realize how unable, unwilling, and ill-equipped they were to handle the situation. If I had been able to see a doctor or if the NP(s) had at least consulted with one when I started having issues or even when I tried to follow up, the ER visits and hospitalization probably would not have been necessary. As other reviews have noted, the office could not have cared less about my experience or what happened. I essentially slipped between the cracks because my doctor retired. They are very vocal though about getting paid on time (even before it gets through your insurance). read more

The times I have went, I have felt rushed through the sonograms and the doctors visit afterwards. The first time I had a miscarriage, all they really told me was that it was an ectopic, didn't tell me what could have caused it or anything else. Just sent me on my way and I got the pills not long after. My second pregnancy was the same way. Felt very rushed through it all. I ended up seeing another gynecologist completely and they actually told me what could have caused my two miscarriages and etc. That being said, Johnson County didn't give me a lot of information that I needed and had to get it from a completely different practice to get the answers I feel like I at least deserved. read more

The best in Women's care! All the doctors here take time to listen and hear patient concerns. They coordinate care with other physicians have have excellent bed side manor! Dr. Proffer has been my physician for almost 10 years now. She's easy to talk to and advocates for her patients. I can't say enough good things about her and the staff! read more

I wish I could do 2 different reviews. DR. Proffer is absolutely amazing! She will tell you like it is and not sugar coat things and I LOVE that! She delivered my daughter at 27 weeks. And when we found out I was already dilated at 9cm when I came in Dr. Proffer immediately started reassuring me that there's nothing I did wrong. That girls are fighters. She gave me the confidence needed in that moment. Can't speak enough about her!! Now for my zero star review: I went into the clinic to see about some pain, and they set me up with some who was available sooner. Do not see Jen Peppard. I left with new information that my heart has an irregular beat and my thyroid felt enlarged. So now I'm kinda freaking out and went to get a physical per Jen's recommendation. Took me a while to find somebody quickly but I finally get checked out and there's nothing wrong. I did an EKG and my thyroid checked on and absolutely nothing was wrong. And what's even more interesting is a friend of mine said that she was told the same thing a few months ago and nothing was wrong. I'm not sure why she's telling people false information? Just likes to make people worry? Go see Dr Proffer, but stay clear from Jen Peppard. read more

I had this appointment from two weeks ago. Because I had traveled out of state they refused to see me. I went in to be see and they lied about where Maria was at. They said she was over at the hospital. Pretty much making every excuse they had to not see me. Then they had someone else come out and even though I told them I know there's something wrong with me, the still refused to see me. read more

I've been going to this practice for over 5 years now and am pregnant with my second child. Dr. Proffer is phenomenal and eases all of my concerns with honesty and care. Her nurse Hannah is amazing and always friendly. I love the front staff, all the nurse, doctors and techs that draw blood. Those ladies are about the best I've ever had draw my blood. Dr. Martin delivered my first baby and she put me at ease. I love this practice and couldn't imagine ever switching. read more

It's never easy to decide on where to go for an OBGYN. I was new to the area 7 years ago and this is the first place I chose. I loved the reviews on the doctors and the services they provide and mostly the hospital they are affiliated with. I fell in love with my doctor for so many reasons. Dr Batty is truly an amazing person and physician. I now have 2 beautiful boys and my health is on track. Thanks to him for taking such wonderful care of me during my pregnancies. I'm so grateful that. All in all this is a great facility and the staff really takes their time with you. Everyone is very knowledgeable and if they need to research further, they do what they say and get back with you. I love the confidence they have and how well organized they are with your files. My Dr was not available to see me on one of my appointments so I had to see one of his partners. He read through the chart and took care of me like I was his patient. It's never a fun process of finding a new gynecologist, but this place was close to where I live and had decent reviews listed from other resources. As I walked in to get checked-in, the individual at the front desk was quick to greet me and help me through the process. We made small chit-chat while she also explained my next steps with an ipad. I had completed most of my new patient paperwork online before my appointment which I highly recommend. Carol, the head nurse, called my name and immediately introduced herself with a bright smile and full of energy. I don't doubt that she is an energetic and positive individual, but on this particular day, she had two large coffees that morning which was more than her usual. I would guess the sugar and caffeine had increased her speed of talking, but it was entertaining and, by no means, a negative view of her. My encounter was enjoyable with her. Once my Dr arrived, Meghan Vaglio, she was immediately welcoming and down to earth. We had great conversations which were both helpful and genuine. She was very open-minded and understanding while also being very supportive of the LGBT community. She was excited when I mentioned that my wife and I would be having kids in the near future. It was a great visit and I look forward to continuing to build our relationship. read more

This used to be a wonderful office. It was diverse and the Doctors cared for the patients. I went back after about 10 years and My same Dr. was still there one of only 2 men left in the practice, Dr. Chris Lynch. My primary care doc sent the findings and diagnosis for Chris to evaluate before we even got there. Chris decided that he needed to do pap and told us that he was aware of the problems that I had and had defined it just by the description of complaints. Everything was great, until my insurance co called me and said he had put a statement in the notes that made them unable to pay. I began calling to speak with Chris as this was surely a mistake. I called for 3 weeks straight and he never returned a call. After 6 weeks and no call, no test results, nothing except a call from his billing dept who told me that indeed the note was in the file and the insurance would not pay based on this VERY WRONG statement. His nurse who called me "hun," sweetie and sweet heart....absolutely condescending and a bit...well, I was waiting for her to call me girl. No really...it was just that bad. It caused me to consider where I was. I then took notice that the walls were actually a display of the babies born there...every single one of them was white as was all of the visible staff. That in and of itself is not offensive, the babies were absolutely beautiful. But when you put it all together... with the fact that Chris then after me calling for 7 weeks trying to speak with my Dr. having rec'd no test results, NO NOTHING except a call from billing saying that my insurance won't pay because of something that the doctor said...HE, then sends me a letter stating that I was trying to make his staff say something??? the fact is...what I asked his staff to do was to ask him to call me. THAT IS ALL. I simply needed a phone call. What were the results of the pap? and why was the first conversation that with your office after the test, with the billing department and why is it taking 3 weeks to get a return call? What on earth would cause you to presume such a thing of me, why would I ask your staff to do something illegal and WHY would you attempt to disparage MY CHARACTER? For 3 weeks, I asked for nothing other than a return call from my doctor. Your accusation is shocking, since I knew you when you were about 16 years LESS ...of whatever it is that you are full of now. That guy was talented, fabulous and honest. I trusted him with my life. I too have a reputation to uphold as I am active in my community and cannot allow such an accusation of coercion and attempt to manipulate to go without being challenged. It is actually, agains the law a felony to be precise. You and your people are LIARS. I did not ask for ANY special language. I was diagnosed when I came there. I came there because your office was where I had previous history. You do not need to worry about treating me at ANY facility. I call a RACE FOUL and throw a yellow flag on the play. If I were to discover ANY correlation to you or your very white biased office. I would immediately demand another doctor since your office is VERY clear, that Blacks are not welcome there or maybe its just me, but guess what? I happen to be Black, lol. From Carols gone with the wind vernacular, down to the pictures on the walls, there is no behavior that leads to anything except limited acceptance of diversity. I generally do not delve into the limits of racial bias, my husband happens to be white. However, this is so obviously the only thing left on the table. I in no way asked for ANYthing other than to speak with my doctor. I guess you think that you put this black girl in her place. Please keep in mind, that had it NOT been for the sufferings of Black women tortured at the very hands of folks just like you, who felt the need to put us in our place ...your modern gynecology would not exist. Maybe you should learn to show a little respect and never forget the cost for your comfort. But I am sure you do not care, your comfort is secure on the backs of women. We started seeing Dr. Cooper in October of 2016 for our pregnancy and she has been absolutely phenomenal. I had some issues with this pregnancy(second) and some concerns about the pregnancy and she has answered all the questions and concerns my husband and I have had. She even squeezed us in when I had to call her because I was bleeding. My last OB/GYN was not as great as this one. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that's having a baby. read more

I've been debating writing this review for quite some time but do feel it is important to share my experience should anyone have similar issues to myself. I went to Johnson County OBGYN after a recommendation from a friend after she gave birth to her baby using the doctors at this practice. I scheduled an annual exam and everything went swimmingly. Precurser this may be TMI but needed for context. I expressed concern to my physician that I had not had a menstrual cycle since stopping hormonal birth control about 4 months prior to my annual. After getting married I stopped birth control as I didn't like it's effects on my mood and figured if we had a baby now, not a big deal. My physician reassured me that this was relatively normal but would run blood work anyway just in case - so I thought cool, let's get this worked out now so when we do start trying to conceive we are in front of any issues. She also prescribed me progesterone to jump start a menstrual cycle to protect the uterine lining - awesome great. Now here's where things started going wrong - I got the results to my blood work back - well kind of - I received an impersonal TEXT MESSAGE that said results were normal, no further action needed. UM EXCUSE ME??? I've expressed I have concerns and that's what you give me? So I called and requested to see the actual results, of course nothing too telling but my mother is a laboratorian so I have her review everything. A couple months go by, still no menstrual cycle without medicated assistance, I also noticed that I had abnormal facial hair growing(I'm an under 30 year old woman so you can imagine my fears) so I called to speak to someone about next steps. A nurse called me back after a couple of hours and told me the doctor said to either get back on birth control, take another cycle of progesterone every 3 months to keep the uterine lining safe and that I "may just have to wax my face". UM EXCUSE ME? As you can imagine I'm in tears in my car with this being told to me over the phone. So I scheduled another appt for more blood work because SOMETHING IS WRONG! Another round of blood work and another "normal results no further action needed text message". At this point, I'm just angry, upset, and fighting to find out what's going on. So, finale - I switched practices and physicians, more blood work rounds which I received phone calls discussing results and next steps and guess what? I have high prolactin levels and I am on medication to reduce them and guess what, my menstrual cycle has returned! The blatant lack of care for the patient I experienced was very disheartening and the reason I would never recommend them to anyone. One shouldn't have to fight that hard for their physician to help find out what's going wrong. read more

The other two reviews weren't lying. ALWAYS waiting. 45 minutes plus after an appointment time and I'm still waiting. Every single time. The office staff is so so rude. There is a lady with a gap in between her teeth and she's short with black curly hair and glasses, she never has a positive attitude. These appointments are supposed to be fun and exciting, IM HAVING A BABY, but no. The office staff makes it terrible. OP Regional has wonderful staff and for my next baby that's where I will be going. If I weren't 37 weeks pregnant I would switch now- I should've switched before but I thought things might change and it was just one bad day. read more

The billing department is the worst. The lady that works in the billing department (Diana) is completely lazy and incompetent. They made us pay up-front for labor & delivery (almost $1,000) and we switched doctors so obviously we will not be delivering with them. We switched doctors 3 months ago and they still refuse to refund what I had to pay upfront. I plan on taking legal action to sue them if they continue to not cooperate. read more

Usually I don't complain, but I can't stand the secretaries here. They're beyond rude without reason. I always come in with a smile on my face, very polite and I get treated so rude. They're customer service skills are terrible. Especially the Asian lady with glasses, and this other woman with brown hair. So disgusted with they're service. read more

Health is not the priority here. If you are a potential cancer patient who would lose coverage eligibility, then they will delay your screening as long as they possibly can. After speaking with various ONCOs and OBGYNs we have been assured that Dr. Cooper and her staff did not follow protocol when dealing with my Mothers illness. To top it off, they are doing the same thing to a potential endometrial case with one of our close family friends. Today, they had appointed my wife for a PAP and IUD removal.. unfortunately bundled together the insurance company will save money so they told my wife to come back in two weeks for the IUD removal under the guise that they want to make sure your insurance covers it.. Women.. be advised that your health is not a priority here. Also, if you are woman who enjoys having choices, do not go here.. they simply TELL you what you will do and provide no alternatives or options. Their way or the highway. read more
