It's clean, easy to navigate, and has a great mix of stores--whether you're looking for budget-friendly deals or brand-name finds. I've scored amazing pieces at places like Nike, Old Navy, and Bath & Body Works (and the clearance racks be rackin' ). One thing I really appreciate is that it's not overwhelming. It's a chill shopping experience with wide walkways, plenty of parking, and restrooms that are actually easy to find and clean. It's not a "huge" mall, but it's just right when you want to get out, walk around, and treat yourself without driving too far or dealing with crowds. Great for quick stops or a slow weekend browse. Date of visit: August 30, 2024 I tend to visit this outlet mall far less than all the others on account of not heading this direction as often as I am towards Pleasant Prairie or Oshkosh, but also because this mall is much smaller than the others. And not having been in a few years, I can see that it is considerably smaller yet due to the number of closures at the mall. There are easily a half-dozen empty storefronts here, and the buildings themselves are definitely not being kept up, either. I do not think this mall will be around in a couple years unless management steps in and revitalizes it. Don't even get me started on the danger of trying to cross the street between the two sides of the development, either as we witnessed multiple cars run the stop sign in our short time there. read more

Full disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of outlet malls in general. That said, Johnson Creek is one of the better ones I've been to (the list is somewhat short--I've been to outlet malls in Vacaville, CA, Napa, CA, Boise, Id, and Reno, NV--and Johnson Creek has them all beat). The selection of stores is pretty impressive--Bath & Body, Columbia, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Crocs, Coach, and more. We were generally happy and made purchases at all the shops we stopped into. There are two sections to it so my suggestion would be to shop one side and then drive over to shop the other (there's a busy street in between). They do have directories situated outside, which makes it easy to navigate. The bathrooms have a lobby area outside with a few massage chairs. Might be nice after an afternoon of shopping! Johnson Creek Outlets are World Famous. I know this because I was doing some work at my then-corporate office in Duisburg, Germany and one of the Directors there was telling me how much he loved the place because the price of clothes in Germany is crazy expensive. I guess it's a small world. Anyway, the JC Outlets are "okay" but you won't find too much that's truly "premium" about the place. There's lots of middle-market mall brands like Eddie Bauer, Bath & Body Works and Nike. At the "upper" end there's a Coach, Calvin Klein and a Ralph Lauren. You won't really find hot brands - most of what's here is a little past it's prime. The variety and quality of stores is better in Kenosha, but JC is far less crowded, has easier parking and is generally easier to navigate. Don't just take my word for it, there's a Director in Germany who's really looking forward to his next chance to stock up on discounted Tommy Hilfiger sweaters. read more

This review is about the ANN TAYLOR store only. Today my boyfriend and I were on a shopping trip together, we went into Ann Taylor and I picked out a few things to try on. I asked him to stand outside the dressing room area so that when I tried on the items I could walk out and easily show him to get his input. First, there were two women assisting in the dressing room. The older one immediately snapped at my boyfriend and told him he could stand outside. (He was already in the main shopping area, not even close to the entrance of the fitting room.) He complied and stepped back. Every single time I came out of the room the women intercepted me as if they didn't want me to get his input. They stood in my way, pushed me to try on things I didn't want, and gave my boyfriend dirty looks every time he said something to me. Even though everything he was saying was complimentary and I asked him for his advice. Second, I asked him if he could run and grab me another size of the dress I had on. While he was walking back towards me, the older woman from before literally sped walked to intercept him, GRABBED the dress out of his hand, didn't ask at all, and said "I'll take that into the room!" He wasn't going to walk into the dressing room at any point, I was standing at the entrance waiting to grab it from him. Finally, the older woman brought me multiple dresses that I didn't like, I politely declined and just said they weren't what I was looking for. The two women proceeded to stand by the entrance of the fitting room between my boyfriend and I and loudly gossip saying "I don't understand why she won't buy that dress, it looks good on her, there must be some other reason she said no" which to him and I seemed like they were attempting to imply that I wasn't buying the dress because he didn't like it, which isn't true, and even if it was it's none of their business regardless. I have never seen such blatant rudeness and disrespect to someone who was just trying to be a sweet guy and have a fun shopping trip with his girlfriend. The way they acted towards him made him and I both angry and uncomfortable and I will not be shopping there again. Considering how expensive the clothes are I would have expected a little bit of class from their employees. read more

We stopped here before heading back to Twin Cities. My wife stopped at the Bass store and found some nice flats which were 70% off. We returned back after finding a 25% coupon so managed to save even more. I went to the Harry and David's store to get some dried fruit platters. Afterwards my wife browsed through some other stores like the Kitchen Corner which had a mandolin for slicing vegetables for $7. So, there are plenty of bargains to find and less crowded. However, the selection of stores is even less than Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlet. read more

I always make a trip to Johnson Creek to check out the outlets whenever I am visiting my family in Wisconsin and I always find great deals no matter what the season is. Lotion at Bath and Body originally $11.00, but now on sale for $2.75. I bought four! Easy Spirit tennis shoes on sale for buy one get one 1/2 off, so I bought two! Soooo comfy! Nine West purses for 75% off at Wilson Leather Outlet, so I bought two! I guarantee you will find something at this this outlet mall. I meet my girls here to go shopping a couple of times a year. Here's a couple of treasured tips we care to share so your adventures in shopping go smoothly... 1. Discounts. When you first get here stop in the center's Guest Services office, located with the restrooms in the upper set of shops on the right as you stand facing the Bass Shoe Outlet. Here you can learn about current and upcoming promotions happening in Johnson Creek. 2. Sister stores. Chat up the sales clerks and you will likely be treated to discounts at stores under common corporate ownership. Did you know Dress Barn and Maurices are Sister Stores? You do now! 3. Share with your friends. Most of these retailers will let you extend discounts that you have to your friends with you. My girlfriend always has a 20% off coupon that three of us use. The store shall remain nameless! 4. Snacks. I swear, by the time we get to Harry & David, Moose Munch samples hit the sweet spot better than Nirvana. So we end up shopping on the sugar rush the snack affords. Ditto with the free truffle of the day at Lindt. 5. Strategize. We typically hit the upper deck of stores before going to the ones found downhill. Mostly because we are powerless in the Coach Outlet store until after we've spent some money. Resist temptation! The Johnson Creek outlet mall is a collection of structures next to the Pinecone Travel Plaza just off of the interstate. My boyfriend and I made the rounds on a sunny, spring day, and the walk between stores was pleasant. In winter, I don't think it'd be so fun - especially because the mall is divided across a small road that is quite busy with traffic pulling off the highway and into the mall/travel plaza. The development is owned by Simon and there were definitely more sales than the Tanger outlets in the Dells. Where Tanger tends to have shops with full-priced items and a sale rack or two, many of the stores we went in had store-wide sales. Bathrooms are located between storefronts - look for the signs hanging under the awnings. The one I stopped in was down a long, narrow hallway that put the bathrooms at the back of the building. If you have kiddos I'd walk them down. A cleaning person was on their way out when I went in - messes had been tidied but the whole thing could have used a deep clean. Not gross, but it's definitely seen better days. I did find some really good deals so I'd probably consider stopping by seasonally to see what I can find to spice up my wardrobe. read more

BEWARE: Johnson Creek does not want your business!! They have patrol cars sitting at the freeway exit, waiting to pull you over and give you a ticket. There is a "no turn on red" sign at the end of the offramp from the westbound lane, leading to the outlet mall. There is absolutely no reason for it to be there. Therefore, out-of-town shoppers may not notice it and many turn right on the red light. I'm a single parent on a tight budget. I drove an hour to get there from Milwaukee, hoping to find some reasonably priced sneakers and school clothes for my son. I got a ticket before even getting to the mall. There goes a big chunk of the money I was planning to spend there. I was Very upset. The sales associate in the store told me "yes, a lot of customers complain about geting tickets there". Guess what, on my way out of the mall, I saw the same cop circling back to pick off more people. Despicable. This is the thanks you get for driving to their po-dunk town and spending money at their crappy little mall. You think you're going to save money - guess again, savings are negated by paying $100 extra for a traffic ticket. Then I paid the ticket and 1 month later received a letter in the mail stating I am required to appear in court. Called the PD and was told not their problem. Called the courthouse and got a message "mailbox full, cant leave a message". So now I have to deal with cleaning up after their incompetence as well. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE!!! read more

I have a feeling I am going to be getting to know this place well. It's very near where my in-laws live so a good venue for some ladies' bonding time with the mother-in-law. It's got something for everyone -- Aeropostale and Old Navy for your teenage crowd, Ann Taylor and Banana Republic for the grown-ups in the room, Adidas and Nike for the sporty types, Columbia and Under Armor for the outdoorsy ones. There's a maternity store and a few men's stores, too. There don't seem to be restaurants on site so you need to leave and come back if you want to make a day of it (unless you want to munch some Harry & David popcorn for lunch). And the stores are split into two clusters, without a convenient walkway between them -- you need to dodge traffic a bit unless you want to drive to the other side. I've only been here a few times but Johnson Creek is your typical outlet mall with everything I need. Honestly, I've gotten the best deals at this mall. I'd rather take the extra 10 min and drive here than deal with the chaos in Kenosha. Plenty of parking, nicely layed out and easy in and out. What more could you ask for? A few days ago a friend and I went out to the Johnson Creek outlet mall to do a little shopping. It has probably been a decade since I was last out to this mall and so I was excited. My excitement soon faded when I realized that many of the stores are just regular stores with pretty much the same prices as what is available to me locally. I found the best deals at Old Navy. We went on a weekday​ in the morning so there were not many people around at all. I doubt if I will back anytime soon. There is just not enough reason to drive all the way out there. read more

Am I going to fill my closet and be the best fashionista after a trip here? Not so much. But can I get some closet staples, stock up on work pants at the scrub outlet and generally waste some time heading to or from Madison? Absolutely. The Gap outlet is the hidden gem for me - I'm not a Gap shopper, but I always find things in this store, oddly enough. I'm always a bit 50/50 about Johnson Creek. I like lots of the stores but I don't tend to buy much... Old Navy has some great prices, I like the kitchen shop, and Harry & David always gets a stack of my cash. This year I went especially for peanut butter Lindts as I couldn't find them anywhere in Janesville, where I was staying. It's all a bit spread out and you do really have to get in your car to drive around to the other half, but during the week, it's not busy and it's okay. At the weekend? Crazy. Average outlet/selections and not too big. I would return for a more thorough walk through. I don't particularly like "factory outlet" stores but some of them are not too different from the original store and carry the same products. Those are the stores that are worth a go. As far as outlet malls go this one is pretty good. We almost always find something here and for good prices. There is a kitchen accessory store here that has some great selection and good prices. Not the best outlet mall in the world, but they have a good selection of stores and some excellent deals if you put the time in to look for them! Definitely check out the Nike store - great sneakers on huge sales - and there were also good discounts at Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy. Bathrooms were clean and well-lit. Location is just off I94 and there is plenty of parking. Everyone I encountered was friendly. I don't live in the area anymore, but if I did, I'd stop by every couple of months! read more

Let me start by saying that I am not a shopper and I usually go shopping when my wife asks me to go occasionally. She knows that I don't like to shop, so I don't go often. However, if she asks me to go, this is the place that I don't mind going to. It is an outdoor mall that is very easy to get to. The parking is good and the layout works great. The store selection is good and we usually hit up Gap, Old Navy, Nike, Carter's, Children's Place, Gymboree and a few others. There is not a food court, or at least that I have seen or found, but there are some decent fast food restaurants near by. The stores all have great cooling and heating, so when going in and out of the stores it isn't too bad. If you happen to be on your way past, go ahead and stop. Not a particular fan of this outlet mall, but it's a good place to get the basics as opposed to Gurnee Mills since it's a tad closer to me and it's not as ridiculously huge.
