Poor Customer Service.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND JOHNSON ROCK PRODUCTS
for the following reasons:
When you call their phone number it indicates you are calling a completely different business listed as SKJ Properties. This makes no sense what so ever.
On November 26th 2024, I called this company after I found out that North Bend City had directed our taxes dollars to Johnson Rock Products to complete road work on the corner of Broadway and Newmark Street.
Loose asphalt was left all over the street which created a shower or flying rocks onto my new car and everyone's paint job on their cars.
They left the street poorly posted to inform drivers that the traffic in one lane is shut off completely if you are turning onto Broadway from Newmark Street creating a sudden dangerous driving situation.
When I called this company Ashley answered the phone and put me on hold. After some time, I was randomly just transferred to an on going ringing phone line. I had to call back AGAIN.
I tried to tell Ashley that she sent me to a none operating phone line, and that it would have been professional if she had come back onto the line to tell me who she was even transferring me too.
Ashely took no responsibility for this impolite unprofessional gesture, but instead starting raising her voice while I was speaking saying, "Ma am, Ma am
Ma am .....the reason they are not picking up the phone is because they are not there you have to leave a message."
Ashley never heard me say the phone is just ringing you can NOT even leave any message because she was too business talking over me. Her rude behavior just made me even more upset. When I told her I can not believe she treats customers this way. Ashley told me I was not a customer,
Ashley clearly does not get it.
I am a customer. Johnson has a contract with the City of North Bend. All the residents have paid taxes that in turn pay you.
Take responsibility to provide professional customer service.
When there is a problem acknowledge why the person is upset.
Take the time to actually state back what they are saying to acknowledge the problem to make sure you got it correctly and are not ignoring the reason they are contacting you.
Apologize that your actions contributed to the person being frustrated in the first place.
Work to see if you can find a solution to make things better. NOT just state what you are doing that is not working for the rest of us and keep doing what you are doing that is causing the problem.
Ashley hung up on me. When I called back she refused to transfer me to her manager hanging up on me again and refusing to answer the phone. This is just crazy that a business acts like this.
I eventually got through to the owner Shane Johnson . His response to all the loose asphalt was that he just "cold patched" the asphalt and that his company does NOT machine roller the asphalt down.
This makes no sense what so ever that Johnson got the city contact if he does not have the proper equipment to do the job right. Now all the resident's cars are at risk of paint damage due to this sloppy patch. Johnson thinks that our cars are suppose to roll down the loose asphalt that he laid down.
When I asked Shane Johnson why are the residents not even being provide the professional courtesy of being informed of the dates of when this road will be in this terrible condition, so we can avoid the street during those dates? Shane said it would not be possible to inform everyone.
There is no electric sign or any sign posted to the community telling us when this work starts and when it will be completed. This is just not professional and extremely disrespectful the community members.
Shane told me that this is the way its done here and told me he was not going to continue this conversation.
This is so unbelievable that a business could stay in business when they treat people this poorly.
It is unclear why the city of North Bend even hired this company when you look at their reviews others are also upset with the way this business operates.
We deserve better services especially when collectively our taxes are paying this company to do this work.
POST the dates to the community as to when your work starts and will be completed to warn people to use other streets. That's being professional. read more
