When she asked about the order, an older gentleman working there barked orders at her, telling her to move her car to the back of the store so they could load it -- there was no politeness or professionalism at all. Then, the younger employee who loaded the order just threw the heavy bags into the car with no care, risking damage to the bags and the vehicle. To make things worse, the same older gentleman yelled from inside the store for my wife to come back and sign off on the order. The entire experience was handled in a rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner from start to finish. I later called the store and spoke with the manager, Michael, to share how disappointed I was. Unfortunately, this experience was bad enough that we will not be returning or ordering from Ace Hardware again. It's unfortunate, because we expected a much better level of customer service from a company like Ace.

It is such a joy to walk into a…read morehardware store and say....I need one of these thingys for a thingy like that, that I am hooking to this other thingy......and they know exactly what you are talking about. I can tolerate Lowes occasionally and Home Depot only if I am desperate. Its amazing how most of these small stores still have everything you need, and if for some reason they don't, they know exactly what the real name of the thingy is your trying to find. Parking here is street and about 4 spots in the back.

Nicely done! They've got the olde-world hardware store knowledge combined with good pricing and a work ethic that makes you happy you chose them. Box store employees are mindless gnomes that cannot hold a candle to the folks that work at Best. I would *highly* recommend Walbaum locksmith for your lock, key and general hardware needs. The…read moreapartment I moved into has very bizarre, unique keys, my super gave us permission to have them copied, but did not offer any advice as to where to do so. We tried 3, THREE different locksmiths, paid a premium at each place, only to get home and find the copied keys did not work. Fooled three times and out $150, I was resigned to just not having a spare key. However, at my mom's insistence I try Walbaum's (as they guarantee their work) I begrudgingly went in and explained the situation. The gentleman who helped me asked many many questions and a half hour later I left with two copies. While be made the copies for a much more reasonable fee, I was still pessimistic that they would work. BUT THEY DID!! Thank god, really I lost hope of having any keys for the dogwalker, my mom etc and now I know just where to go. Thank you again!!!

Thought I was locked out of my apt. Told me it would cost $400 to get me in. Walked up 4 blocks to…read moremy building. He turned the knob and it opened. It was never locked. he didn't do any work. Insisted I pay the $400. I offered him $200. Wouldn't leave. Blocked my door with his foot. I was alone and my safety was at risk. After about a 1/2 hour, I gave him my credit card so he would leave. I immediately called the cc company to dispute the charge. DO NOT EVER USE THEM! I was scared this guy was going to attack me! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
