We had her come to our house to bathe two cats. These two cats have never had a bath. One of them is a hefty 20 lb cat with some matting. The other was a very skittish and squirmy 11 lb cat. Johnna was super patient. We were able to bathe one cat without much force at all. So much undercoat came out! He was even purring and asking her for more pets. She was able to brush out almost all of the mats. The cat grooming includes a bath, blow drying, brushing, and nail trim with a base price of $110. That's very affordable. Totally worth the money to avoid tears and spilling blood struggling to do it myself! Johnna's communication was spot on. She texted when she was on her way. She came prepared with a cat bag and everything in her set up. She did a wonderful job grooming the cats. My cats were left smelling fresh and no longer stinky and full of dandruff. After my usual boarding facility had to cancel our reservation just days before I was heading out…read moreof town for my child's college graduation, I had to go in full panic mode to find someone else that not only had availability but also someone I could trust with my fur babies. I came across a mention of Furfield Pet Place on Nextdoor and contacted them to ask for information. Mark got back to me quickly and we set up a meet and greet for the very next day. My dogs did well during the meet and great and Mark gave me a tour as well as answered any questions I had. I felt very comfortable with the information and his home and knew it would be a good fit for my dogs. His prices were also very good and he had me fill out an intake form that also made me feel comfortable that they wanted to know all about my dogs to make sure they were well taken care of when I was gone. Mark sent updates and pictures multiple times per day and I always knew how they were doing. My older dog usually is quite depressed and miserable when boarded and seemed to be doing great! I was set to pick them up the next morning after I got back and I overslept! Mark was very forgiving about that which was also appreciated. I definitely will be using Furfield Pet Place for my pet boarding needs in the future. My dogs comfort is so important to me and the fact that they clearly felt THAT comfortable speaks volumes to me.

This place had such wonderful reviews and I tried reaching out explaining what I was looking for and giving some information on my family and my pup. On two separate occasions I was shut down. No explanation. No courteous communication. Just "sorry I don't serve your area" and "sorry I don't provide that service". Yet CLEARLY WRITTEN in their website is "Serving Benicia and surrounding areas" and "PET BOARDING". Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I could swear pet boarding is taking a pet to stay in your facility or home for a number of days. I am no geographic specialist either but I could swear that when I drive around the Bay Area and the map tells me Vallejo is 5 miles from Benicia, that that is considered to be a surrounding area. Maybe I'm just bitter, but a little professional courtesy would be appreciated. If you have a problem with a pit bull mix, just say so. If you're profiling based on my Yelp photo or what city I am from and don't want to provide me your services, say so.

I was at a memorial service several hours away when they called and said she was really winded (it happens), so I approved taking her out of play and put her in a kennel with plenty of water. Within the hour after speaking with them, they said she was having trouble breathing. I approved a visit to the emergency vet. The Vet called me when she arrived and asked if they could perform CPR. I said of course! Later I got a call from the emergency vet that she had passed and when she arrived to their location, she was not breathing. WTF Camp Bow Wow? I got no follow-up call from them, no apology, no communication what so ever. WTF happened??????
