I actually found Johanna here on Yelp, and was impressed enough with her reviews and with the materials she sent me after my initial contact, that I decided to work with her. Johanna helped me to explore and work through some areas I had always wanted to consider. Her methods are both practical and fun, using deductive and intuitive approaches. She is a genuinely warm and caring person, which helped me to trust her. Over the course of six months (and 6 sessions) I was able to do what I had to do to get to the next stage in my life without feeling that I was somehow cheating myself or neglecting some unexplored potential. I was able to move forward knowing that there are things I do not want to do, even if I would be good at doing them (and others think I should). Her method involves helping one to figure out what is available, what one wants, and what is do-able, while providing non-judgemental feedback and inspiration. Sometimes you need to hear what you are saying, but coming from someone else. She provides that feedback. Since our last session I have had a seventh follow-up appointment at which I was able to share the culmination of my path to a career change that turns me on. Johanna is great at what she does, and I know I will return to her if and when I need a sounding board, ideas, and inspiration for making serious life choices. Highly recommended!
