He and Dustin Roskam, service support lead, arrived today to make come changes to the setup about which I had complained. When they were through, I had what I had expected in the first place: simultaneous sound through the soundbar and through my hearing aids, when allows my wife and me to watch TV at the same time. Desperately needed someone experienced in installing Google Nest devices (2 Thermostats, 1 Hello Doorbell, and 2 Mini speakers) before she got home. I received limited replies, and the few I did receive had absurd pricing and was not able to do the installation in the time I needed it done. Even though 'Wired Up' had no reviews at the time, they were the only provider who responded with an honest quote and were able to fit me into their schedule. Andrew came onsite, and quickly got to work with the installation. Unfortunately, he ran into several obstacles (not his fault) with my wireless internet and the Nest devices not communicating properly. Instead of dropping the problem in my lap to deal with, he stayed for several hours troubleshooting my wireless issues until he got everything resolved so the Nest devices could communicate properly. Words can't even describe the level of professionalism and customer service provided to get this accomplished! Needless to say, Andrew was able to get everything installed successfully, and my wife was completely overjoyed with the new home automation. I recently bought a new construction home through Ryan Homes. During the build, Ryan Homes…read moreexplained that for all cable, internet, phone and custom media installs, they only deal with Structured Cable. When I arrived to the showroom, I was impressed. They had a lot of hi-tech/ highend electronics and very nice display rooms. The consultants were very nice and extremely knowledgeable. During the install, I had cable and ethernet installed in 3 rooms and a 65in flat screen mounted in the family room. And here's where all the problems occurred... For the flat screen tv, I wanted all wires to be ran behind the wall. However, for my main media wire, they told me that it wasn't long enough to run behind the wall, so they ended up leaving it dingling from the bottom of the tv, about 3ft down to my media table. The wire is very thick and it was a total eyesore. Then, one day when I was cleaning behind the media table, I happened to look at the wire and it was definitely long enough. So I called Structured Cable and explained the situation. They ended up sending someone out, free of charge to fix it. It took about 3 weeks for the technician to come by. Which is another complaint of mine. If you need any work done, they're usually booked out 1 to 2 months! Aside from that, they were supposed to install an ethernet and a phone line in the office, but instead they installed two ethernet lines. That was a very careless mistake and I have yet to get that fixed. Lastly, I feel that there were some important options that should have been mentioned during the initial consult. I'm the type of person that only likes to make a purchase once. I don't want to have to upgrade down the road because things are outdated. I'd rather buy the best available at the time of purchase. With that said, I wasn't very happy with the surge box and the quality of most of the wires that they used.

I moved into a home with a surround sound system wiring installed by Structured Cable of VA. The system they installed cost me over $3,400. From the day it was installed it has been nothing but a nightmare of them coming out weekly to fix an array of issues. From the speakers not working to the TV going in and out and constantly replacing wiring. At one point they swapped out the receiver hoping that would fix the issues. Finally, they blamed everything on my new 72-inch screen TV. Now they are trying to go back and charge me $150 for service calls and scheduling new service calls to try and fix the issues. My problems still exist and I'm searching for answers. I wish I could give less than one star.
