I stopped by here around 7:40pm on a Thursday evening after finishing a river cruise. My kids wanted ice cream and this place looked great. We were sat promptly when we walked in. About 5 minutes after sitting, someone came over and dropped off glasses and a picture of water. I ordered at 7:55pm. I got the Rocky IV with Jameson add in; I also got a lemon blueberry cookie. One son got the CHOCOLATE NIRVANA and the other got a basic shake with add ons. At 7:57pm, I got the PB Jameson throwback. Everything came in about 5 minutes and it looked amazing! It was all delicious and A LOT! The only person who finished their shake was my son who had the basic shake. The PB Jameson was a little thick but tasty. I was slightly disappointed as it was all brown as I wanted to be the mix of brown and purple, like the pictures. I didn't really taste the liquor add in to my shake but that could've been due to the sugar content of everything else. Overall, the service was great and so was the music. We plan to stop by again before we leave. It can get pricey! There is an 18% service charge added. read more

JoJo's is definitely a novelty worth experiencing at least once! The space is beautiful, milkshakes are outrageous, and overall it is an absolute party. I visited during autumn and the patio had been converted to the most beautiful pumpkin patch. There were multiple backgrounds set up for the perfect photo op in addition to festive lights and even an old truck. For food, I ordered the health nut salad with chicken, which was surprisingly good. The chicken was fresh and portions were very generous. I was impressed by the french fries, which were waffle style and extremely fresh and crispy. For the milkshake, I opted for the seasonal pumpkin spice (I mean, it's kind of a must at that time of year, right?). The shake itself was very sweet but had an excellent pumpkin spice flavor. It was topped with a slice of pumpkin pie, toasted marshmallow, graham crackers, a caramel apple, and reese's pieces. Although the shakes are expensive, this was about 5 desserts in one so I'd say they're worth trying. Overall, I really enjoyed the visit and would return to try more of the shakes! read more

Finally tried JoJo's after walking by it a million times, and it was better than I expected. The brisket nachos were the standout, fresh, barbecue-y brisket, great portion size, and worth the price. The buffalo chicken wrap was just okay, nothing special, but the waffle fries on the side were solid. Very fun Christmas themed bar. I loved all the decorations. The drink menu is also very fun. I tried the hot chocolate flight. The flight consists of four small cups each with a huge roasted marshmallow. It's a fun experience. I saw our waiter come out with some very creative drinks and he was very fast and efficient with many people at the tables. Even though there were a few people working and not many tables full, the service was terrible. I had to go up twice to get them to take our order and give me the bill. They didn't bring all the food, did get reminded to remove it from the bill and still charged for what was not brought. I stopped at the pop up at JoJos Shakebar to celebrate my neighbor's birthday. They had the place all done up for Christmas. My friend had a reservation for 4-5 ladies, and we were stuck all the way in the booth right next to kitchen. If I were her, I would have asked for a different spot since there was plenty of room. I started with the blueberry gin & juice in a cute ornament. She had a birthday shot of course. I ended with a cereal killa shot with fruit pebbles and the pb &j shot was loved by all. I was excited to try this place as it one of those very hyped up must-visit spots in the city. When I got there, they were very nice enough to accommodate me booking the wrong table to be able to sit in the Winter Wonderland patio, which I very much appreciated. They were great about that. However, everything else was very much okay. My friend really liked her Elote Salad and the loaded fries were good too. I had the burger and tried the hot chocolate flight. The hot chocolate flight was a neat idea, but definitely not worth the $18 price tag. Overall, the food was good, definitely not a bad meal but I have had better meals for $50. The service was okay, too. Our food was taken to the wrong table twice even though the orders match the table numbers. We were offered water, waited 30 minutes, then had to ask for them again. As for the Winter Wonderland, I can't say it was much of anything, honestly. Cute theme and ambiance for the season, but the only real places to take photos are the christmas tree and the truck. Reviewing the Holiday Pop-up specifically, but the menu items are the same as usual. We visited jojo's not because of the food, but because the holiday experience they set up in what's usually their parking lot is very well done! Big tree, lots of decor and photo-op opportunities, and holiday music playing. We got the JoJo's Fries and the Spinach Artichoke Dip to share. Bro were fine, exactly what you'd expect from bar food essentially. Nothing notably good or bad about either. My friend liked the walking taco and ate the whole thing, so I'd say that was a win! I got the classic hot chocolate and loved the marshmallow on top. Good hot chocolate and not too bad of a price at $6. My friend got the salted caramel one and loved it as well, and was a fan of the accompaniments it came with, like the pretzels and the cake pop! The Crazy, Sexy, Cool cocktail was decently strong and VERY sweet but...It's JoJos so that's expected! My friend loved it. Service was great. Friendly waitstaff that seemed to be in high spirits and having a good time with eachother as well. We came here for a Christmas pop up and it was cute. We made ornaments while we ate and had our shakes. The shakes are child/non-drinking friendly unless you add alcohol (which I did). I added baileys to my shake and it was very good. Our server was good. Nachos were okay. More cheese is needed. Brisket is quite sweet. Negative: when we walked in, no one greeted or seated us. We came by for the JoJo's Pumpkin Patch experience! It was $35 ($45 after tax and required tip) and included a milkshake, entree, and pumpkin to paint! The outdoor pumpkin patch is very cute with lots of fun photo ops! There is a lot of different sizes and colors of pumpkins that you can choose from. They then bring out a selection of paints and brushes. It was a lot of fun! For food, all of our entrees were just okay. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was cold when it was brought out. The shakes make up for it though. They are so fun and delicious!! I tried the pumpkin patch shake and it had a whole slice of pumpkin pie and a whole caramel apple. Also to note, you do not need to buy the experience tickets. Wow I was really excited to try this milkshake bar because who doesn't love a good milkshake! I will say we went during the day in the middle of the week and they were not busy so we were served immediately and he took special care to make sure our milkshake was just right. I will say this was one of the best milkshakes as we got the basic caramel with both Oreo and heath toffee bar mix ins. I loved the look of their bar area as well. My family and I stopped by this dessert spot in Chicago looking for something sweet to end the night before heading home. The place is very small inside--more of a grab-and-go or quick stop than a hangout spot. There's a small parking lot next to the building, but it costs $10 to park, which you can use as a voucher inside. Still, the parking attendant was rude, which wasn't the best way to start the visit. The host inside was nice and seated us quickly, but once we looked at the menu, we were a bit surprised by how expensive everything was for what you get. My mom ordered a strawberry ice pop, and I got the blueberry lavender shaken espresso. Unfortunately, both were overly sweet to the point that the actual flavors were drowned out. We had high hopes, but neither of us enjoyed our orders. It felt like more sugar than substance. I personally don't see us returning anytime soon and make's it hard to recommend it to anyone. read more

Definitely worth a visit this time of year to take a few fun pics in the pumpkin patch! There are many seasonal items available too! I had the buffalo chicken wrap that was good and came with nice crispy waffle fries hot from the fryer. I ordered a side salad for an extra $2 but it wasn't much- bowl of iceberg lettuce cut up with tomatoes and onions, basic but priced for that at least. The shakes look amazing but after the wrap and fries I had no more room in my belly- it'll have to be for another time. Service was good, quick and brought everything we requested. We had a late lunch, so we didn't get to enjoy the "Biggie Shakes" as much as we'd like because we were still somewhat full. The atmosphere was colorful, vibrant, and fun. Loud music was playing, but not so loud that we couldn't talk to each other. I would definitely recommend going on an empty stomach so you can get the most bang for your buck. We had a great time at JoJo's- Juan our server was amazing. We were there for a bachelorette lunch for my cousin. He even surprised her with zero proof shot since the bride to be is currently 7 months pregnant. The food was good I personally did not order food since we were going to a few places and planned on ordering at the next location however those that ordered enjoyed their food. The space is very fun and the music had us singing along and dancing in our seats. The restrooms were located downstairs however my cousin was using a walker due to her pregnancy and they do have an elevator to an upstairs bathroom and the staff escorted her and stayed up there as well in case she needed any help coming back downstairs. read more

I was excited to take my overworked boyfriend for a treat at Jojo's. Neither of us had been and it looked super festive for the holidays. We arrived for our reservation only to learn only the outside was decorated and I'd chosen in. They were booked out there so disappointed, we took our seats upstairs. Upstairs we were seated next to a broken window we were told couldn't be closed. At first I thought is was just a drafty old window, but when I noticed it was open, I asked a staff member if they could close it (having already tried and failed), I was told it was broken. Luckily we were able to move to another table. Service was... not great. It took a while to place our order, maybe 20 minutes before we got our hot chocolate and milkshake, and when we were ready to go our server was nowhere to be found for ages! It was so long, we thought there was a shift change and he'd left. I don't think we saw him after he dropped off our order. Both the good digger shake and the salted caramel hot chocolate were amazing (though I'd probably get mine without the marshmallow fluffnext time) and reasonably priced. On our way out, we went through the Christmas tent. It's definitely not a nice as the photos on their site, which are from an indoor space, and in spite of the handful of patio heaters, or was cold enough that everyone was in full winter gear as they ate. Nice holiday lunch at Jojo's! The winter wonderland decor was fun, and the regular decor is fun too. My teens were looking forward to shakes. We had a smashburger, a New Yorker, a honey fried chicken sandwich, and a buffalo chicken wrap. Nothing was omg amazing but nothing was bad either. The waffle fries were a hit with everyone. Crunchy and well seasoned. The service was friendly if a little slow. And when we first were seated (and then waited a solid 10 minutes it was unclear if we were supposed to order via QR code at the table or through our server. For dessert we had the Winter Wonderland Shake and the hot cocoa flight, both from the holiday menu. Both were enjoyable. There is a kiosk to order outside by seating and we ordered on that, then went to grab drinks because there wasn't many options on the menu. Realized we ordered on kiosk, told the hostess and we sat down. They brought our food out to inform us we could not dine there because we ordered from the kiosk? After spending $50 after a tip on two pot pies you would think you could sit at a table- not to mention the place was basically empty so there was no one waiting for a table (i would understand this being a problem if it was busy in any way). I have a HUGE sweet tooth so I wanted to love this place but it was overly sweet. Like the milkshake had no taste other than sugar and the toppings (cookie, marshmallow, Oreo) were just ok. Like a freshly baked tollhouse cookie would have been amazing but I did not love the cookie they had on the milkshake. If you go you definitely have to share one of these. I shared with a friend and I think we still only had half of it. If it was just milkshakes, I'd say 3 stars but one thing I would come here for is their popups!! Super cute decor and themes throughout the summer / holidays so it's a fun ambiance for that. They have some basic American food, apps, etc. that are decent. The outdoor area is a fun place to be because it reminds you of being at a camp: benches and games. I came here for the shake because seeing pictures everywhere got me excited to try one. Unfortunately, it's like seeing someone online and being disappointed when you finally meet. Yes, the look is there but you can't eat that big sugary thing hanging off the side. My son stole my cookie, which was probably the best part. The Graham crackers tasted stale and the shake itself was just meh. I did eat their salad beforehand and it was good.
